| Over All: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| An okay episode, that's good about exploring Neelix's | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| background.. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Pros: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| - This is the episode where Voyager first moved out of range of | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| the Talaxians, the Kazon, and the Vidiians, sweeping away the old Voyager making room for the Borg, the Hirogen, and the Malon. - The plot works quite well here. Neelix just has a simple need, he wants a map, but one thing leads to another and he's caught up in a drug ring. - This episode is good about explaining Neelix's past, before he came aboard Voyager. They never really went into that before. Here we see one of Neelix's old friends. - It was also interesting to see the crew hanging out at an alien space station, bartering for much needed supplies. |

| Cons: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| - Tom Paris makes a comment to Neelix that he and Chakotay | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| are going to pick up some bio-memetic gel from the station. The DS9 episode "Distant Voices", which came out before this, and the episode "In the Pale Moonlight", which came up after this establish that bio-memetic gel is a very dangerous substance that's strickly controled by the Federation. It seems a bit odd that the crew would so casually trade for something so dangerous. - Chakotay and Paris get faisly accused of a crime they didn't commit and Janeway tries to prove their innconce. Like that's never happened before. This episode could have really done without this plot. |
