- And of course this is the episode where we finally get to see B'Elanna give birth to Tom's baby, and I couldn't care less. The entire relationship between Paris and Torres was one gaint mistake, first there got married and now they have a baby together, they even show them twenty years in the future, still married. Well, they made it impossible to ever correct the mistake of that relationship. And I will forever hold this horrible relationship against Star Trek: Voyager.
- Speaking of Relationship that are horrible mistakes, this episode invinted a coupling far worst than the Paris/Torres relationship, they brought Seven of Nine and Chakotay together the worst relationship in Trek history. They had absolutey no chrisma together, The scences with them together made me want to throw up. Seven of Nine belongs with the Doctor, they had true chrisma together. this episode tries to compensate for that by having the Doctor in the future getting married to some bimbo, well it doesn't work! He should be with Seven of Nine. If they ever have any more Voyager stories, I serously hope the smarten up and pretend this Chakotay / Seven of Nine thing never happend or I may not be able to force myself to watch it.
- In closing, I say this episode is nothing like it should have been. Had I been incharge of this series I would have sat down the entire writing staff and shown them the entire first season and said, "Come up with a conconsion to that." In the beening we saw how badly the crew wanting to get home, and it was fasinating and inspiring, but here it was boring and painful to watch. I can't say for certain what this episode should have been, but I do know, it should have had nothing to do with time travle and Nothing to do with the Borg.
