| Mayweather's Past and establish his character alot better, and they did it in a way that was productive to the story, unlike early episodes in other Star Trek series that try to establish character backrounds. It also explains in better detail the whole concept of Earth Frieghters and gives a clearer picture of how far humans have progressed in this time peroid. - Reed, for once acts like an expert security chief, not a childish amatuer. - The last scence with Archer talking to the frieghter Captain was exeptionally good, It gave a great closure that most Star Trek episodes lack. |

| Using the Nasicaans in this series doesn't sit right with me, It's not | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| directly contradictory to anything shown about the Nasicaans on The Next Generation. but, it doesn't seem right that the Nausicaans would have technoligy that's better or even has good as Earth's. - It' seems a bit funny to me that the Nausicans in this episode can talk normally, in complete sentences, when the Nausicaans shown on The Next Generation (two centurys later) only speak in fragments "Play Dom'jot, Human?" |
