Prayer and Meditation
December 31, 1999
11:55 PM for about 10 min.
(If possible hold this ceremony around a camp fire, fire place or candles)
O God, Omnipotent Universal, Infinite Soul, We come to you to Share one more small part of you, we come to you to Love one more small part of you. On the occasion of this change of our millennium will you let us know one more small part of yourself,  will you let us love one more small part of you?
O Infinite Soul,  to each of us, in his or her own capacity, let us understand one more small part of our divinity,  let us greet each other in the light of that divine nature, let us live in respect and compassion for our divine acquaintances.
O God, let us see alittle more of your divine essence in the universe. Help us to love our environment as we love you.  When we touch our world, let it be softly, with kindness, and understanding of its fragile state.    Let us nurture it as we nurture the children.
O Omnipotent,  let us nurture our children with strong moral, family, civic, human, and personal values.  Let us strengthen them to live as independent self reliant adults with a true understanding of their social responsibilities.  Let them love hard productive work, deep loving family ties, and you.    And, if it be your will, dear Lord, let their children be the foundation and strength that the world will build upon.
O Omniscient Parent,  help us bring true and ever lasting peace to the new Millennium.
Help us begin now and carry on forever.
                                                        Meditation
Let us sit quietly, close our eyes, watch the flicker of the flame on our eye lids, and understand the moment we are sharing.
I. Understand that you are breathing,  slowly in and out.
II. Understand that you are siting.  Notice how you sit, where you touch the ground
or others if you are.
III. Visit your senses.  Again observe your eyelids, breath through your nose to smell
your surroundings, swish your tongue around in your mouth to taste it, listen to the night,
the sound of my voice, the breathing of the person next to you, the crackle of the fire; feel
your cloths, were you touch the earth and others.
IV. Now visit your soul.  Fly out side yourself to a pleasant place.  Fly to wherever you wish.
V. Observe about 5 min of quiet. (this short time is in honor of the new participants)
VI. End Meditation with, “O God,  O God,  O God.”

Prayer For Understanding

(Gently place your hands in the praying hands position. Close your eyes and softly say;)
Oh God, Omnipotent Universal, Parent; I come to you to know you. I come to you to love you. Let my heart love one more small part of you. Let my mind know one more small part of you.
{This part of the prayer indicates your agreement that the purpose of people on earth is to know and to love God.}

Let my eyes see you a little more clearly;
(let your eyes briefly view what they are seeing)
Let my nose smell you a little more clearly;
(breath in through your nose and try to smell)
Let my tongue taste you a little more clearly;
(Taste your mouth)
Let my ears hear you a little more clearly;
(Listen to the surroundings)
Let my touch be awareness of you.
(Feel your hands touching and let your mind go to the divine nature that is present)
{The above references to the senses represents your agreement that the universe is completely created from the Infinite Body Of God, your finite body is fully created and contained in that infinite body, and all we experience is God’s Essence.}
I am (we are) you O Lord, and you are more than me (us).
(then lay your hands in your lap, palms up as though you are presenting a gift.)
This is you O Lord, but you are more than universe!
{This gesture presents the world around you to your consciousness and acclaims its connection to the divine. Although you may not feel your own divinity at the moment, this part of the prayer is your belief that you are a divine creation and manifestation of God. This basically means that you are completely God’s essence, your world is divine essence, yet God is much more than you are.} Top of page

 
 

                 Prayer of Service
O Being of beings, O Creator of creators, O Master of
masters,  my soul is totally you but I am only a molecule
of you.
As small as I am let my life be a candle in the darkness.
Let my deeds manifest your greatness.   Let my heart flow
with your love.  Let my hand serve you.
O God, you are my rest, you are my port, and you are
nourishment for my soul.

              Prayer of Thanks
O Lord,  I come before you with thanks.  When I am down
you find small ways to lift me up.  When my heart is
broken you fill me with love.  When my soul is tormented
you give me peace.  I pray that my life will be service to
you.  I pray that my service to you will manifest my
thanks.

                God In Nature
Oh God, my God, the God of all creation.  I looked to the
sky and saw your eyes twinkling; I looked in the forest
and saw your arms reaching toward the heavens; I looked
on the river and saw your life role forward.   I listened for
your voice and heard your sweet breath sighing through
the trees.  I reached out to touch your hand and a fragile
bird landed there.
I am just a man (woman), Oh God, and my wisdom is
manifest only by your will.   Help me to understand your
way.  Teach me your laws.  Whisper your truth into my
ear.  And, help me love your creations.
Oh God of the Universe I am your servant.  My service is
my gift to you.

          Opening Prayer - January 15, 1989
Dear Lord our God,  dear Omniscient and Omnipotent
Creator of these friends,  Bless these souls gathered
together to seek thy  peace in their lives.   Open their
hearts; Strengthen their minds; and fill them with
understanding and wisdom. Let their lives manifest their
belief and let service to you and mankind be their
adorning.   We humbly ask these things, Oh God.

            Prayer of Service and Understanding
Oh God,  your strength is all;  your wisdom is all; your
love is all;  light my heart with a fire for you.  I am your
creation.  You are my father.  You guide my steps. You
move my hand to labor in this world.  You fill my heart
with all that is there.   Wisdom is only in me because of
you.  Help me, oh Lord, to uncover the perfection you
have given me and all of mankind.  Let my hands be your
hands.  Let my heart be your heart.   Let my mind be your
mind.  Let my mouth be your mouth.  You are in truth the
mover of the waves,  the former of clouds,  and the
sovereign of the kingdom of eternity.

Oh Omnipotent, Omniscient and loving master Oh God;
I bare witness that in the beginning you created the
heavens, the earth, and all that dwells therein. There is no
thing knowable or unknowable that was not created by
you.

           Help Me Use The Tools You Have Provided

My Father, My God,  When I was alone you were my
companion.  When I was down you lifted me up.  When I
was ignorant you  were my teacher.   You fashioned my
world and gave me the apparatus to understand it.   Help
me, O Lord, to grow more proficient each day with these
tools.  Let my understanding benefit others.  Make this
knowledge trace a path to love for all human kind.  O
Creator of Creators my heart and mind are yours.

                My True Father's Will
My Father, My Master, My God,  I longed for knowledge
of you and you thought me like a child in the first grade.  I
wanted to see you and you opened my eyes like a man
with his first pair of glasses.  I hoped to taste you and you
fed me from your heavenly garden.  I desired to feel your
breath and you blew in my face the winds from around the
world.  Oh God, you are my knowledge, you are my hope,
you are my world.  Help me to raise your name to mankind,
help me to manifest your will.  Teach me your way.

O God,  O Universal Soul, I am here before you seeking to
understand just one atom of the dust from your
garment. Help me to realize the wisdom you have already
given me. Help me to love your creation.  Help me to be
even closer to you, dear Lord.
