Our First Christmas
Well Christmas has come and gone, and I have to say it was for sure one to remember.  Our first Christmas as a new family was full of fun and excitement.

We started off opening a few gifts here in Edmonton from our family and friends.  We had a lovely dinner with Maria and Rania, and did a pre christmas gift opening.

We finished packing pretty much right before we left, which was the midnight flight out of Edmonton. When we got to the gate the ticket man bumped us up to first class. Sweet.  It was Kristinas first time so she was quite excited.

AJ was the best he didnt even peep. Slept pretty much the entire time we were on the plane, both to and from New Brunswick.

We arrived in Fredericton late because there were ice storms, but we eventually we made it, a long flight since we started at midnight and arrived the next day.

Grandma was wonderful to come and greet us at the airport, and as soon as we stepped outside we were struck by the COLD maritime weather. We arrived home and were welcomed by JD, Nanny and Nick!
Marcie came the next day from school and we were so excited to see Susan, Taso and their awesome children.

We stayed in Harvey for a few days, met with some of Mikes family and friends.  Christmas eve eve, (2 day before christmas) we all move to Chickadee Lodge, (where Susan and family had been  staying).

It was a wonderful place with multiple bedrooms on each of the three floors. and fire place we used for roasting chestnuts, and a 12 foot dining room table.  It was the perfect place for our big family to get together.  Great Great Grammy Sigman even made it out to get the 5 generations picture.

We sure had a great selection in meals, fish chowder, lasagna, Turkey (goes without saying, it is Christmas) and Lobster?!? Im sure we gained a few pounds.

We must have been very good this year, AJ got plenty of clothes and toys he is well equipped for everything for the next few months at least.

While our stay was fun and exciting, the time seamed to fly by.  Before we knew it we were on our way home to Edmonton. Arriving late again we had to pack all the luggage into Marias little car, it was a tight fit but we made it home safely.

New years was a lot of fun, we had another huge feast, and took the bus down town.  We walked around the mall and city hall, waiting for the fire works to go off, after midnight had come and gone we came home and opened the remainder of our holiday gifts.

To all of our family and friends we hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.  We certainly had a lot of fun and this being our first as a new family will be one we will remember for quite some time.
