| THE FILM In 1994 screen appeared on cinematographic strange film, that it second resumed the oldest one topos of fantascienza which ancient land mythologies are the product of extraland visits, happened in remote ages on our planet. In this case the author of the history, Dean Devlin, imagines that the God of ancient Egypt Ra is in truth an alien arrived in earth of Egypt migliaia of years before Christ. But we go with order. In 1928, during some archaeological diggings, it comes recovered one strange marchingegno to circle shape, with one series of antichi symbols of the same geroglifici, and above all made of a disowned material. On Abydos it had found in abundance a mineral that it was highly necessary for its technology (type the dilitio for our favourites of Star Trek), then on the Earth it had found a race (we) highly resistant to the physical forfeiture, and therefore had used the old trick to on loan take a young and strong body for infondervi just the spirit; en passant also it had transported hundred of egizi antichi on Abydos, because the mines and the procurassero ones with stability worked in the mineral of which had need. In Ra truth it was in possession of a technology that resuscita the human bodies dead men, for this it was useful to use a human body rather than of an other species. And making all that also it had given the imprinting to the entire culture egizia. This aspect in the film has been a lot cured, even if to expert a enough eye they only can find many precise references to the ancient culture egizia. While the pyramidal shape, that it derives clearly from the averse ship with which Ra disembarks on the Earth; from that it would derive, in the fantasy, the choice to construct the tombe of the Pharaohs to pyramid shape, pyramid that then would have metaforicamente " to take off " towards the sky and therefore the other world |
| The other most obvious callback is that one of the machine that resuscita the bodies: draft, to the fine end, of... sarcofago, in which to deposit the persons dead women so that they resume life. It can be assumed, with the film, than Ra it has used such technology not only for resuscitare if same, but also, to second of the necessities, other earthlings; here therefore that, after that, the egizi antichi have begun to place the bodies of the Pharaohs, considered semidei, in sarcofagi carved and decorated with the maximum cure, in way to assicurarsi that also from those feints machines of wood and marble uscissero alive bodies. More times, in the film, we find egizi symbols scattered here and here; also in this case, the producers have intentional an adhesion much grip to that they are really the geroglifici antichi, even if obviously the medium spectator is not that a lot can be noticed of the likeness. In order to conclude I would want to spend two words on the interpretation of the personages. The protagonist?certamente the archaeologist Daniel Jackson, interpreted from James Spader: anti - an Indiana Jones from the ways decidedly imbranati, with the characteristic one tic of the persons occhialute to pull always discs of a valve on the nose; a genius of the egittologia that, with umilt?di who does not have reputation n?onori, lend its work without to save itself, until the incredible decision to cross the door of stars in a mission historical and, I add, most dangerous, inasmuch as nobody has pi?pallida the idea of where ports |

But Daniel ago with its tender naivete, soffiandosi repeatedly the nose, and ending for innamorarsi romanticamente of one enslaved from developed intelligence more of the average of its compatriots (Sha' ure, interpreted from Mili Avital) that, also it, does not have fear to smash the law learning to read, mantenendosi leale above all to its man. The tender Daniel makes pendant with hard O' Neill, one suffered interpretation from Kurt Russell; O' Neill is a personage to the antipodal ones of Daniel: colonel of the army, married and with a son of eleven years, sure has the experience, the maturity and the farsightedness that lack to the enthusiastic archaeologist. Dark desperation is however a man marked from one, to reason of the terrible one died of the son, from caused same he. With the disincantati eyes of the soldier who has a mission to complete, it represents logic of the " mors your mea life ". Incarnation of the pure evil, without ripensamenti, Ra sprizza hatred and ferocity from the apparently pure eyes of a child, giving mefitici sorrisi to the persons that are in order to condemn. Obviously to the end the good will prevail, but only destroying completely to Ra and the body of the young poor devil from he transformed in executioner. | Stargate had a large one happening of public, like always starved of fantastic and fantascientifiche history (to the contrary of that the critic thinks). A lot that was believed about produrne a continuation. But the plan did not go in port, therefore, in order not to displease the nourished one fandom that already it was gone creating, the producers created a series that could develop the enormous potentialities of the film: enormous, yes, because a door for stars and a responsible averse population of an entire mythology can be cue for innumerevoli history. The series of Stargate, left in 1997, has resumed faithfully the situation left in suspended from the film: we by now find again colonel O' Neill (called habitually Jack) and the archaeologist Jackson (interpreted from other actors). Once ascertained that the door of stars is effectively a mechanism that allows to visit other planets, the government of the United States prepares some " exploratory " squares of, pertaining to the Stargate Command: O' Neill and Jackson makes part of the first square, called Stargate 1 (from which the title of the series, " Stargate SG-1 "), with to the doctor Samantha Carter and to an alien, about which I will speak to you between little. Therefore, nearly to every episode, the small squadron visits a various planet and lives its adventure (Stargate, therefore, * * series is not one on the mysteries of ancient Egypt). But he is not therefore simple. The averse population to which Ra belonged acquires a name, the Goa' ulds, and therefore has also the bad ones of the series, a po' like the Klingon in the Classic Series of Star Trek. The Goa' ulds has made damages in turn for all the universe, subjecting many planets; here, therefore, than the SG-1 if it often finds again them between the feet; useless to say that they have of the sights also on the Earth. For more, the Goa' ulds, as they had transported a group of earthlings on the Abydos planet, therefore had made also for many other planets; therefore in many of the places visited from our squadron millenia are found before the descendants of the deported earthlings. With passing of the seasons, the subjects have been made more audacious and the stargate ones machine of the time has occasionally become also one. Moreover, it is discovered to a sure point that the door of the sky is not fruit of the technology of the Goa' ulds, but is one creation of one averse population still more ancient, for a long time extinguished. The Goa' ulds comes at this point described stablily like a race parasite, that is a species that has need of a body host in order to interact with the external world; their original aspect is that one of large worms. The race of the Trill cannot not come in mind, constituted from a host and simbionte (not all, but not sottilizziamo); in the case of the Goa' ulds, but, the vermone it acquires the complete mastery of the body that accommodates it (which it supposes that he is not consenziente). The head of the bad ones, than in the film was Ra, now is its successor, Apophis. The guards of the Goa' ulds call Jaffa, calls also " guards snake " because they wear of the colorful masks from style snake (egizio, naturally). The fourth member of the SG-1 is just a Jaffa, of name Teal' c, that it has abandoned its people in order to fight from the part of the good. The presence of this averse one allows to know very close gives us the culture of the Goa' ulds, and inserts in the series that cultural contrast that we trekker already have opportunely appreciated with the personage of Worf. Stargate SG-1, zitto zitto, has arrived to the fifth season and ne it is currently in production one sixth. Here in Italy it does not have a large one fandom, for dirla in other words it does not have the same popolarit� of Star Trek or Star Wars; but the fan of Stargate, than they are defined " gaters ", they have created associations, ring telematici, fanfiction, convention, insomma all the usual, amiable universe in miniatura that is come to create when much people feel themselves joined from a dream. |
