| The first online game I've played ( not counting modem games of Warcraft II and Satrcraft with my friend Robert ), Dark Ages is an onling role-playing game with several different locations and quests to go on. Five main classes of characters exist in this vast online community - warrior, monk, priest, wizard, and rogue, each with skills unique to their class. Politics, weddings, religious ceremonies, etc. abound in this world. A player starts out as a Mundane ( basically lower-lower class ) and, after a brief tutorial, becomes an Aisling ( general citizen of the community ). Shortly after, the player can attempt to find a mentor to guide him or her in one of the five classes, and thus the adventure begins. I briefly played Dark Ages ( 10-day free trial ) because I was interested in a online RPG that wasn't first-person perspective, like Everquest, and the graphics reminded me of those from my favorite game ever, Chrono Trigger. While I had difficulty starting out, I soon became familiar with the controls and idea of the game. I eventually journeyed with a few recurring companions ( whose names I have used in this story ) and had much fun. It gets boring sometimes playing a game alone; part of the fun is the interaction with others. So I have decided to ( eventually ) create a ( hopefully ) epic tale of the world of Dark Ages, incorporating some of my travels and expanding on others. A few of the characters I encountered but did not travel with will be included and some names will be altered to better fit the game's style ( I met a few with strangely out of place names, like " TenchiMuyo " and something like " abyedsjsdsuia " ). Hopefully, you readers will enjoy it when I manage to update the story. And if the actual players of these characters stumble upon this story, please let me know if I am doing you justice. |

Loves hunting for treasures in the Mileth Crypt in his hometown Mileth. Always wanting to experience new things. Daffery Teoras's best friend since childhood. Desires to become a master monk like his uncle. Shares a love for treasure hunting with Teoras. Full of energy and always cheerful with words of encouragement. Ameli Daughter of the Priestess teacher of Piet. Has studied since birth as a priestess to one day help rid Temuair of Sgrios and his minions. Feels she must live up to her mother's reputation and is not fully confident. Arrys Prince of Loures. Skilled in swordplay and is very charismatic. Popular with the ladies. Tends to be hotheaded and is constantly overestimating his abilities. Also well versed in political matters. Borlok Student of the Dark Wizard of Undine. Wishes to master his abilities and studies constantly. Mostly a loner and is shy around others. Will face anything in order to perfect himself. Grevier Uncle of Daffery. Well-known around Temuair and considered to be the most powerful Aisling monk alive. Always willing to teach others. Very insightful. more coming soon |
