| You could say this movie is an example of the Atkins Diet gone terribly wrong. Christian Bale should get some kind of recognition if for nothing else the dedication he showed in this movie to being a serious actor. You have got to see the transformation this guy does. No special affects her, just a guy who obviously takes his job seriously. In regards to the movie, it felt like a bit of a short story for me. Remember those short stories you used to have to read as a kid? They were usually for a state test or something and you had to answer questions about it. Well this is a lot like that in that it revolves around a very specific point. And although the movie does have depth to it, it almost seems like it is too simple. That isn't necessarily a bad thing. Is this movie a must see, probably not, Does it inspire deep conversation afterward? No, not really. But it is a good film with a great actor doing what he does best. | ||||||||||
