Maria Full of Grace
Wow, what can I say?  A definite must see.  The beauty of this movie in my opinion is it approaches the drug problem from a perspective other than some crazy drug lord.  It tells the story of Maria.  A beautiful young girl, in real life and in the movie, played by a new coming actress by the name of Catalina Sandino Moreno.  Upon finding out she is pregnant her desperation level rises and decides to quit her flower factory job and become a mule trafficking heroin by swallowing the incredibly large pellets.  This is such a moving movie.  You see her determination as a representation of the thousands of people all across the poverty of the world that gets caught up in the drug trade.  As the director, Joshua Marston put it, these people really don't see anything wrong with doing what they have to improve their lives or support their family.  The error to them lies in the threat of injury to themselves or others or getting caught and the problem it might cause.  The underlying message the movie so masterfully raises is applying the age old question of is it wrong to steal a loaf of bread to feed a starving family, to the bottom tier of the drug problem.  And to that effect, I just don't know.  I mean the whole drug problem is a discussion for another day.  Man I got to say Catalina was so beautiful in this movie.  I hope to see big things from her.  I encourage everyone to go out and see this movie.
