| I would describe this movie as a cross between the Matrix and Desperado with a '1984' agenda. I really appreciated the fighting sequences more because they did not incorporate CGI ala Matrix. In other words, there is no bullet time or slow motion floating in the air. Just fast paced and loud. Christian Bale comes through quite nice. I always laugh at the actors that do a good job of playing emotionless characters. It is almost backslapping achievement when you think about it. Nonetheless, it keeps me entertained. The message in the movie is made clear. However, although the movie attempts to impose a feeling like that of 'A Brave New World' or '1984', it falls short in that respect. The action sequences alone make this film worth watching more than once. | ||||||||||
