| The Problem with the Black community... | ||||||||
| I am absolutely appalled by something I just witnessed. This has been an ongoing conflict that has really begun to eat away at me over the past couple of years. Rather than try and come up with something clever on my own Ill take a quote from someone else, if for no other reason than I couldnt say it any better I love black people, but man I hate niggers -Chris Rock- So Im watching leno, yea I was bored, and hes doing one of those skits where he just goes on the street and gets some funny comments from stupid people. And we all know this is America and there are A LOT of stupid people. So I really dont have a problem with this, I laugh many times at the who is this person type of questions but anyway. Leno brings this black guy out. <sigh> Shaved head with a gold t, big gold necklace, sun glasses, huge ring, tight black shirt, come on you can picture it in your head. So Jay ask him what he does, <sigh> im a rapper slash dancer. Ok I role my eyes in disgust. But then Jay goes on to ask are you single, a simple no would have been enough. But he responds with the Im a ladies man crap and gives a really crappy pick up line. I think its overno he has to keep it going. Jay asks can you do a little rap for us? Oh of course a black guy on national TV he has to fucking rap. Thats all black people do. Hey why dont you just hand him a basketball and tell him to dunk. Ooooooo I know!, Lets give him some fried chicken and watermelon. What is with the black community of today. Notice I said BLACK. Fuck this African American crap. Lets focus on black people. Bill Cosby said it ladies and gentleman. In todays world these kids are brought up believing that they have to either be an athlete or a rapper. If those options are available then crime is a necessary risk to make it in the struggle. What the fuck is going on. I am almost to the point of saying the hell with it. Let these ghetto ass idiots keep to their own. This past week I was on the phone with someone and they made the comment, not really knowing me, that I sounded white. It is a well known fact that this statement really pisses me off. So needless to say I didnt talk to that person for much longer. Then tonight in the car musa made a very interesting comment that shined a light on the manner. He confirmed that I do talk white. He even went as far as to say that if he had never seen me and only heard me he would assume I was white. you dont talk ebonistics as he says it. I say that if having good diction, and expanded vocabulary, correct pronunciation, and the ability to articulate yourself is talking whitethen sure I talk white. And lets stop and think about this for a second, what would be the antithesis of this fact? If speaking intelligently is some how white, then speaking black is what? Stupid? No, that would be politically incorrect. So we say it is speaking ebonics, slang, street, being hip, whatever you want to call it, because we dont want to offend anyone. We want to ignore the issue. Education is everything and most importantly power. Is it a coincidence that the black community has to be forever struggling to achieve a higher place in society? Black people are being held down by the white man and crap. Gee, what a fucking coincidence? NO EDUCATION, NO POWER IN SOCIETY. Maybe Im the only one who sees this. Now, how do we solve this? Lets just pump more money into education. Even though that is totally disregarding the fact that we are putting more money into the educational system today than ever and we continue to go down hill to the rest of the world. Maybe congress and the government should intervene, you know, get the white man in there telling black people what is wrong with them. That is always a popular solution. Goes over real well. In conclusion, my observation is this: As in all instances of humanity, rather a large group or the individual, a person cannot be changed. A person can only change themselves. Applying it to the issue at hand, the black community can only be changed by themselves. The black people in this country need to stand up and say to all the niggers, you will stop making me look bad. Until that happens, the place that black people hold in society will not change. And rightfully so. |
