The Visitor Information Center

In 1987, Mr. George "Cap" Swift and Mrs. Elizabeth Swift, out of their love for Selma, decided to buy a home, which now hosts the Visitor Information Center. After a few changes they were able to turn a section of their home into a place where friends that they have and have not met, could come and receive information and knowledge about Historic Selma. We are always happy to assist you in answering all of your questions about Historic Selma. We will be glad to not only give directions, but to highlight the roads for you on a map. We will also help you with all your accommodation needs while you are a guest here in Historic Selma. The Visitor Information Center is quite often the first stop in Selma for our quests. We offer a variety of things to our visitors and to our hometown folks, as well. All of our guest may receive a free Selma Showcase Magazine, free brochures, free literature, free historic tour map, free city and county map, free samples from local industries, and there is never a charge for our southern hospitality. We also provide a wide variety of unique gifts, books souvenirs, shirts, postcards, cookbooks, historic newspapers, historic pictures and much more for you to take back home with you. We welcome any information you have about your city as well. We welcome everyone to stop by and visit with us.
