OLD DEPOT MUSEUM
The Old Depot Museum offers visitors a tour through the colorful past of Selma, one of the south�s most historic cities. Step back in time when you inspect spinning wheels used to spin thread, contents of a 19th Century doctor�s kit, Confederate bills, Confederate shells and cannon balls, china and silver used by Selma�s founder William Rufus King, just to name a few. From Civil Right to Civil War, this interpretive museum offers a unique view of Selma�s history.

SMITHERMAN HISTORIC BUILDING AND MUSEUM
Since 1847, the historic Smitherman building has served Selma in many of the city�s needs. From a Conferee hospital to a county courthouse, a Presbyterian school to a memorial hospital, it now serves Selma as a treasure chest. You will find collections of rare and exquisite furniture, paintings, hospital memorabilia, munitions, which were manufactured by Selma�s Arsenal during the Civil war and many more artifacts. Also enjoy it�s passive park surrounding the structure, with it�s shady walkways and flowing fountains. The park has been the perfect setting for many southern weddings. STURDIVANT HALL
Sturdivant Hall is the finest Greek Revival Neo-classic antebellum mansion in the Southeast. It�s construction began in 1852. Architect was Selmaian, Thomas Helm Lee, a cousin of Conferate General Robert E. Lee. Sturdivant Hall is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. As a museum, it hosts antiques, period furniture, portraits, silver dolls, and toys. A kitchen, which is separate from the house, has a large assortment of antebellum utensils and other kitchen novelties, a formal garden and a gift shop. Hours of operation are 9:00-4:00. VOTING RIGHTS MUSEUM
The institute was organized and developed by participants and supporters of the 1965 Voting Rights Movement. It is rich in memorabilia and documentation and plays an intricate role in enhancing the knowledge of the public through projects, tours, exhibits and community forums.
