Selle Brothers Fansite

The Selle Brothers band is a dynamic group centered around the authentic piano stylings of John Selle. Clearly not just another "converted" guitar player, John's speciality is recreating the sounds of boogie-woogie, stride, and classic country piano playing with a facility and conviction that both surprises and delights listeners.
     With brother, Joe Selle at the drums, the siblings carry on the musical tradition their father started many years ago, and have been performing together for almost 30 years (since ages 8 & 10) Joe's rock solid drumming provides a driving, rhythmic foundation for the group.
     We can't leave out the vocal talent of Miss Toni Curtis (no relation, haha). With her soulful, bluesy style, she brings a well rounded variety to the stage.
     Like Joe and John Selle, Brian "Doc" Lane honed his talent at his Daddy's knee. His professional career began at the age of eight and has taken him all across the United States, playing for Travis Tritt, The Judds, Restless Heart, and 38 Special to name a few.
     Their longtime friendship and professional relationship started over 25 years ago, when Doc and John worked together. Since then, their careers have

run along paralel lines, playing in many of the same venues, and with the same bands, though at different times. The briefly shared the stage in the 90's as members of Southbound.
     Reunited again, Doc's base styling along with Joe's Drums provide a driving force behind John's lightning fast fingers and Toni's sultry voice.
     Performing over 150 shows a year, the Selle Borthers have had the experience of doing shows with many great artists. Most notably, Merle Haggard, Chris LeDoux, Restless Heart, and Hank Williams III.   In addition to performing at regional arts festivals SantaCaliGon Days (Independence, Mo.), and Spirit Fest (Kansas City), the group performs throughout the Midwest for everything from county fairs to circuses!
