Update May 4 2003
So here I am, I have just completed two months of research etc and have finilised my
topic. I have nearly completed my questionnaire, just a bit of wording to fix up and
a couple of extra questions. I also have to design my interview. I have conceptualised
it and just need to type it up.
The next task is to start ringing up my contact people in the organisations and ask
for permission to complete my research with their employees. I am also putting my
ethical approval together. This involves completing a questionnaire and submitting my
method. I aim to have final ethical approval by the end of May, so hopefully things can
move along.
Compared to where everyone else is in my thesis group (those of us completing the Masters
of Applied Psychology) I do not feel too bad. One person started in December and is collecting her
data. Others who started when I did are working on their proposals. I am therefore
at a good place. I am just hoping that the good flow continues. I just have to keep
things in perspective and think about November.
