1. lets start first with some history of Inhuman Dissiliency.
first of all, thanks for the interview bro! and thanks for your time. inhuman dissiliency is a death metal project that started out somewhere near the begin of the summer in 2002. we had been trying for years before that to get this thing going but had failed. so many different people were tried out and although we had stuck with several of the bands that we worked with for some time, none of them were exactly what we were going for. so after a few years of trying, we decided that the only way we were going to be able to get this thing going was to do it ourselves. we knew what we wanted to get done but nobody seemed to understand it. so we figured that the only way we could do this would be to go with a drummer machine. hoping that it would not be permanent. just a way to get things going. its been a few years now and although we have tried out a few drummers, we are still working with the drum machine.
2. how's the line-up today, are you still looking for a drummer?
well, the current line-up consists of todd, playing bass and doing the main vocals, and myself playing guitar and doing some backing vocals. we have been trying out a drummer as of recently but as of now, we still aren't sure how that is going to turn out. so yes, i guess you can say we are still looking for a drummer at this point.
3. you describe your music as self-mutilating death metal, tell us and by which bands are you influenced?
well, we labeled our music "self-mutilating death" because our lyrics, in general, are based around self-mutilation. almost every song is based on someone doing something to themselves. mainly self-disembowelment, but there are songs about other types of self-mutilation. we just figured that we would target of lyrics to this because it makes them more interesting for us to write. what would someone be able to do to themselves? haha!! as for our influences, my main influence would have to be devourment. some other influences would be for me, suffocation, napalm death, early cannibal corpse, early brutal truth, among many other bands, and as of recently(newer bands), disconformity, guttural secrete, artery eruption and the list goes on and on. i'm pretty much influences by everything. brutal music fucking rules!! anything i hear makes me want to play. so i guess there really isn't too much out there that doesn't influence me in some way or another.
4. in okt/nov 2003 you recorded a 3 track cdr, tell us more.
that demo was recorded as some what of a time line of the past year that we had been writing. the first song, nerco-cannibalistic infest, was our first song we had made. mutilation of self-extracted entrails was somewhere in the middle. and devouring aborted feces was wrote just before we recorded that demo. we put out that demo hoping that it would just be a cd to promote the upcoming ep that we were going to be recording. but the ep never happened. still to this day, due to all sorts of things happening, such as the departure of our original bassist, who has returned now, and now the departure of our original singer, its been hard to get things tight for the recording process. the ep is back on our main things to get done list, so hopefully soon it will be completed, finally.
5. reactions from labels/zines/people,....
the reactions from labels have been incredible. we started playing this music just to show people in our area that there was death metal music out there. in hopes that people would see what we were doing and go looking for more. labels have been asking but we are still playing music for the same reasons as we started playing in the first place, which was just to spread the music to people that may not have know that it exists. so we really haven't had much interest in any label support. zines have been great to us too. reviews have been great and we have had several zines interview us as well. definitely been real sick to us. and as for people, well if it wasn't for them listening, then we would really have no real reason to do this. so a huge brutal thanks to all the people that have listened or are listening to our shit. even if you didn't like it. you still gave it a chance. so thanks!! people have been the greatest! we got lots of sick fucks that have been supporting the hell out of us. our biggiest supporter, at least that i know of, is a guy named seiji okuda. sick supporter from japan. bro, i tell you what, seiji fucking loves death metal. he will support the hell out of it. thanks seiji for all you have done for us and everyone else for that matter. you are fucking sick bro!! and eternal brother. thanks to anyone else that has been supporting the underground as well. if not for all of you, there would be no underground. keep it sick!!
6. what about your new tracks ,who's response and what are the dealing about?
well most of our new tracks aren't really all that new. like i had said early, the demo was recorded with songs from differnet points of our writing stage. so you can listen to those 3 tracks on the dismembered and decapitated demo and pretty much get the feel for what the ep is going to sound like. as for new tunes, some new tunes are in the works. and they are fucking sick!! one new song, dripping vaginal excrements, made it onto the ep line-up. its a sick song, and it pretty much shows the direction the new tunes are heading in. i can't wait to hear what people think of these new songs. they will hopefully be coming out on a split cd that is in the works right now. keep checking our website at: http://www.inhumandissiliency.com for more information on that as we get it. the new tunes are pretty much staying in the same vein as the others, self-mutilating death, but loaded with more sick breakdowns. tons of them.
7. future plans / full length cd?
as of now, we are focused on getting the ep recorded and getting the split material all done. we would like to get another split done after that. we'd like to continue doing splits for a little bit because, as todd, singer/bassist, had mentioned to me once, "a split cd will help not only get our shit out, but help us spread others shit as well". going back to the whole reason we started in the first place. so we will most likely do some more splits. sooner or later i'd personally like to get a full length done as well. but as of now, i don't know how far we are away from that. much more focused on just simply playing some live shows and enjoying the music. only time will tell. the ep will consist of 5 new tracks and the 3 demo tracks. so all in all i guess you can figure that for a full length. its a good 35+ minutes of material.
8. what do you guys besides playing in Inhuman Dissiliency?
work. haha!! i fucking work all the time. and it sucks! but thats the only way to keep the band going. you need the cash to keep equipment working. i work at a magazine printing company. nothing exciting or anything. pretty boring work actually. but it pays the bills. todd is a tattoo artist, sick too, and sometimes gets side jobs to help keep the money flowing. other then that, when i get the chance i like to skateboard and i like to go bowling. sometimes the bowling alley will play some brutal music for us. its funny too, everyone there hates it but us. haha!! man they hate us for it. hanging out with friends is always good times too. but that doesn't happen too much anymore though. everyone has jobs and no time.
9. any merchandise for sale or can our readers download some tracks from the web?
yes. we have merchandise available on our webpage. all kinds of shit. anyone interested in any inhuman dissiliency merchandise can check it out at: http://www.inhumandissiliency.com. its all under the merchandise section. and we also have some tracks on our website that can be downloaded as well. right now it is just the demos tracks. but once we get the ep fully recorded, some more tracks should be posted. stop by and check them out. let us know what you think. always real cool to get feedback from anyone.
10. some last sick words for ending this!
thanks bro, for the interview! and for your time. sick fucking zine man!! keep it sick!! we'd like to say thanks and hello to all the people that have gave us a try. you all fucking rule!! its because of you that we are able to do this shit and we won't ever forget that. so thanks!! we'd also like to thanks all the people that had come before us to pave the way for people like ourselves to play this shit. you are all fucking sick!! thanks for all the hard work. and to all those who have perished, RIP. been a good bit of them unfortunately. you will never be forgotten. and to anyone that is reading this and hasn't heard of inhuman dissiliency, stop by our website and check it out. our website address is: http://www.inhumandissiliency.com. please sign the guestbook and let us know what you think. have a good one. take care and keep it sick.
