A TRUE navel piercing is really through the part that sticks out if you have an outtie, other wise it isn't really a TRUE navel. You can also gauge your navel, though I'm not sure why you would, it is possible. Other than that, you can triple pierce a navel, do a lot of stuff, amazingly, for something relatively simple!
