I did it better than those slackers at Claire's Date Done: Jan 3rd 2004 Story: So it was a boring day, and I had nothing to do. I wanted to pierce my ears again but my parents are total freaks about pierings. I had gotten my original piercings done at Claire's and I hated them. They were all uneven, and the stupid girl piercing them kept blabbing on about some stupid shit, and there was damn techno music playing. Stupid Teenyboppers!! ...So I re-pierced my teenybopper chop job without my parents knowing. It turned out great, so I wasn't afraid of piercing second holes. After that I mentioned the idea of getting a second hole to my parents and they wouldn't even give me a chance, so I took matters into my own hands. My parents had to leave that day, so I gathered up the materials I needed. I had a needle, the earrings, some rubbing alcohol, a lighter, and some cotton balls. I cleaned off a table with some bleach and then rubbed it off with some antibacterial soap. After that I layed out a paper towel, and placed all my supplies on it. I placed the earrings into a bowl with some rubbing alcohol, and I let the needle sit in there too for about 10 minutes. After the needle soaked, I put on some steryl golves and then, I washed it with soap, then I burned it a bit with the lighter, and then I rinsed it with some rubbing alcohol. I made to dots with a pen on my ear lobes and rubbed them with a little alcohol. Right after, I took the needle, held it steady and pushed away. It took a few minutes to get all the way through. It did hurt a bit at first, but it passed. After I had sucessfully finished both piercings, I cleaned off the area with a little bit of rubbing alcohol. There was no blood or anything at all. So far I have had no problems, and I would reccomend self piercing to anyone as long as you can properly clean your tools. I did a hell of a lot better than those little teenybopper joints at the mall. Now that I like the results of my piercing, I am next going to pierce my right nostril, and do a labret. I'll be sure to send in my experience as soon as I get them done. ![]() Needle: A plain ol' sewing needle Gauge: Purchased: At a craft shop Cost: $6 Jewelry: A couple gold studs from a previous piercing Gauge: Purchased: At Claire's Cost: Don't remember Aftercare: Just a little rubbing alcohol in the morning, and before I went to bed Purchased: Drugstore Cost: $3 TOTAL COST: $9 ![]()
