Story: Well, I've always had quite a facination with piercings they're just so sweet even though I had bad expierences with them in the past (ear piercings at age 5), I still loved em. So one day I happily decided I wanted a labret piercing (a piercing between the chin and the lower lip for those who don't know), they were so kewl looking and I didn't know anyone else that had them. So one day I sat down thought I could sterilize a needle by just putting in a freezer (please don't try this it doesn't work very well) and attemted to pierce my labret...
Well, it failed and I just forgot about it. Well after alot of research on the internet and other sources I decided to try it again. This time I cleaned everything and sterilized the needle with fire, which was a better way to sterilize. It took a while (an hour and 1/2 to be exact) to finish slowely pushing through the needle it finally just slipped through I was so happy. About 5 minutes after I got the needle through I changed it with just a plain old earing (cleaned) and it looked awsome!!
Then I realized I had to babysit in an hour form 7 o' clock to 11. I was quite frustrated, I tried putting a bob the builder (haha) bandaid over it but it was way to obvious, so I took it out praying for it not to heal up. I got where I was supposed to go to babysit as soon as the parents left I ran into the bathroom and slipped it in and kept doing this the whole night, till finally I got home where my two friends were waitin for me.
Well, as soon as I got upstairs I put it back in I was soo happy it didn't close up it was sweet and my friends said it looked good on me so life was good. AS if I hadn't had enough piercings for one day my friend sat down in the bathroom where I'd pierced myself before and started piercing her belly button it was a long process and again I was getting bored. I grabbed a needle (didn't exactly sterilize it just wiped it clean which doesn't get rid of the germs by the way) and decided to give myself the second holes in my ears not really painful I'm not sure to anyone else, I like the feeling of pain. I took my (labret) stud out 2 sleep and when I woke up it was still there so I put it in then took it out cuz my mom was takin me to go look at some new skateboards so I couldn't wear it in front of her.
Then when we were done I went to my friend's house and we went to the mall where I put it in and walked around with it (I did get some funny stares but oh well I felt loved). I went into hot topic and bought some labret studs (spikey ones sorta and a ball) 16 gauge (piercing was only 24 [gauge] but planned to stretch it) and then left. I can remove and put in my labret stud and it has only been 3 days.
My parents saw my ears and freaked out so I wisely chose to not let them see my labret. When I went to school the next day people couldn't stop staring. I was the only kid in my school that had that exotic of a piercing (the most exotic ones were belly button and inside of ear thingy owe!!). People talked only the first day tho so don't know how long the never ending attention & questions are gonna last, it doesn't bug me that much, but it gets old fast. I have only stretched my hole 1/2 way (cuz its not yet healed), but will finish it sometime, for now I'm just keeping an earring in it.
For those of you who are afraid to do it because you're afraid it would "hurt" just start and if you want it bad enough it'll happen. As for hurting it did hurt, anytime you shove a whole all the way through your flesh its gonna hurt, but it wasn't a near death expierence of pain like I said before I like the feeling of pain so I dunno what to say bout that. All you self piercers out there like to say just go for it, but be careful. I think piercings are just my idea of expression, being different, unique, and something to do when I'm bored hehe.
