Story: My first holes were done before I could walk, talk, or even eat solid foods, so I've had my ears pierced for as long as I can remember. In 6th grade, I decided one hole was boring, so I told my mom I wanted to get them pierced again. Her, being fairly reasonable, took me to the mall to get them done. BIG MISTAKE! Those frikkin morons didn't space them far enough from my first holes, they were crooked and uneven on each side, and the stupid chick got marker on my shirt after drawing the dots on my ears (which she pierced nowhere near correct).

So to say the least, I never returned to the mall to get my ears pierced. I kept the holes for a little bit, but after a couple months I took them out. Not long after that I repierced them myself, with MUCH better results! To my suprise it didn't hurt in the slightest. I just took a needle, dipped it in some alcohol, and poked it through. No ice, no blood, no tears, no pain. While the actual piercing was easy, getting the earring in was a different story!.

It took a while for me to get it out the back, but eventually I got it, and since then I've pierced my ears 7 more times. It has gotten much easier because you know how much pressure to apply, and what to expect. I've gotten to the point where I've reached my cartilage. I'm a little reluctant to go any higher, seeing as I've heard its much more dangerous than your lobes. I also want to pierce my tragus, against my Mom & boyfriend's wishes... (what losers).

So I'm currently looking into Info on Cartilage & Tragus piercing (which is how I came upon this site) I Totally recommend self-piercing to anyone and everyone. It's suprisingly painless, cheap, and easy. Just make sure you clean your supplies, infections are some nasty shit.
