She said it hurt a little, but there weren't any problems, no swelling or anything. I thought more and more about doing it myself, and finally decided I wanted to show up to school the next day with my nose pierced. It was about 7:30 PM and I started getting out everything I needed. Not nervous at all... I got rubber gloves, Claires ear piercing cleaner, a straight safety pin, ice, a washcloth and matches. ((To heat up the needle.. used for sterilizing and getting it in a little easier.)) Well, I washed off my makeup and cleaned on and around my nose with oxy pads. When I was sure everything was clean, I sterilized the needle, found a cute stud earring and got ready. I took a deep breath, because I knew I wasn't going to hold back. I stuck the needle in, which made me jump because it was hot, but didn't hurt too bad. On a scaled of 1-10, I rate the pain a 4... (Honestly!) No blood was around the needle or anything that I could see, so I slid it out and stuck in the earring. I had a little trouble getting on the back of it because I had to stick my two fingers in my nose along with the backing and try to put it on. I cleaned my new piercing and admired it for awhile in the mirror. No swelling, serious pain, trouble, or anything! If you want your nose pierced on your own, I totally reccomend it. ![]() Needle: Safety Pin Gauge: Purchased: Grocery store... lol Cost: Jewelry: Just a pink stud earring!
