Story: Well, it all started when I was working at my barn all by myself. I was very tired and sorta dillisonal because my friends and I had snuck out the night before and I ended up with a total of 2 hours of sleep. My friends had recently gotten their ears pierced and I wanted to join them, but I was a little hard on cash. So when I was working at the barn, I started thinking, I wanted to get my ear pierced and I didn't want to pay for it, so I decided to do it for myself.

I was pretty tired and it seemed like an excellent idea. So I went home and searched for a sewing needle to use, but couldn't find one. So I found a saftey pin. Then I found an old stud I had from a previous piercing. So I went into the bathroom, locked to the door and cleaned the saftey pin and the stud.

I then put some mecca on the safety pin just so there would be some anti bacterial in the hole. Then I grabbed a pen and put a dot where I wanted the piercing. Its halfway up my left ear, just where the cartalige starts. I put a dot with the pen in the center of my ear, and just shoved the saftey pin on in. It wasn't very painful and it only took my a few seconds. Then I had to take the safety pin out and shove the stud through. This was a bit more painful, because the stud was a much bigger gauge then the saftey pin. I got the stud halfway through and took a short break, a breather. Then I pushed the stud through which took a minute, I think I made two holes in the back of my earring, I'm not sure the stud went through the back at the same place as the safety pin.

But in about 5 minutes, I had pierced myself. I managed to get it centered and straight, it looks as good as my professionally done piercings. It healed faster and was less complicated then my friends piercings they had done at the same time as me. I would do it again, I'm proud of my self pierced ear. My mom noticed, and when I told her I did it myself she flipped, so then I said I was just joking and that I went and got it done at Claire's, narrowly avoiding becoming grounded. So my mom believes I had it done professionally and my dad still hasn't noticed and I'm hoping he won't. But it was worth the little extra pain to do it myself, and save $45, because thats what I would have had to pay at the local tattoo place, I won't get pierced with a gun anymore, I have and I don't like it. So I think once it's healed I might try another piercing on my own!
