Complications: Well i had to take out the cartilage one, but thats it...i think it was infected?!
End Result: The 2 are healing nice, but the cartilage failed!

Date Done: a few weeks ago...? [as of June 19, 2003]
Story: Aw man...I went w/my friend to Sally's Beauty Supply, and we bought this "sterile personal ear piercer" for like 6 dollars, it was really cheap, and they sold it to a minor (they weren't supposed to though, it said on the box, lol), it's basically a lil plastic tool that helps push the piercing stud through and puts the clasp on when it goes through... so I wanted to just use it on my cartilage, but I was such a freakin chicken, I kept dropping the earring so I was pretty sure it was gonna get an infection, but I didn't really care...
So then, I got some ice and put it on my cartilage...pushed the plastic thing and it HURT so much!! It only went like halfway through so I just pushed it a lil more...finally it got in and I was like "OW!!!!!!!" Man, my ear was burning and bright red and I wanted to cry, but I guess im just a baby, lol...or no, I guess it was cuz it was freaking not sharp enough and a fat ass earring!!
Haha...ok, so yeah...after a couple days I just twisted it, cuz it hurt...and yeah..fast forward about a week...it's still hurting A LOT...then...I took it out cuz when I moved the earring forward, there was some pus!! Ewww!!! So I just took it out cuz it was hurting a lot, and I'm glad...it still kinda hurts a lil when I touch it and theres a bump where it used to be...but its all good...
Now...I really really wanted to do my tragus (thats the lil part of skin that sticks out on your ear that covers the earhole)...and I had that plastic ear piercing thing, so I just got a really sharp piercing stud (instead of the crappy one it came with), and some ice...and I just looked in the mirror...put some ice on it, and pushed it...slowly...slowly...it hurt, but not as bad as the cartilage...then I heard the click and I was sooo happy!! When it was in...it didnt even hurt at all, so I was a lil shocked...it didnt hurt at all so I just twisted it and it still didn't hurt, so that made me a lil concerned but happy...
Well, fast forward about a few weeks...it's still in, it never hurts at all (a lil weird..but ok..?!) and is healing nicely, I guess...its cute, and it won't damage ur hearing cuz the stuff u hear w/is inside ur ear!! Well, yeah...thats the story of that...
Now...my lobe piercing is the 3rd one on my left ear...I wasn't even planning to pierce it, but I was just messing w/the ear piercer and putting it there, and I had a really sharp stud in. I pressed it, and it didn't hurt...so I just kept pressing...then all of a sudden, I hear a click, and I'm like "oh my god, I pierced it" hahaha...it was great, it didn't even hurt at all...so I said, ok, I'll just leave it in, it looks fine. Well, fast forward a few weeks...it's healing just like a normal lobe piercing and it looks cute!!

| Bio: I did this because I really wanted those piercings (except the lobe one..), and because I had a lot of free time, and because I dunno anyone else w/the tragus pierced, so thats cool...and I was so freaked about what my mom would say, and she just saw the tragus today and she didnt really care, lol...so yeah, I guess parents don't really care that much about ear piercings...?! |
