Story: Well, I'll start off with my cartilage: it was my birthday and I had been begging my mom to let me do it and of course being the mother she is she said no. So I said fine and my dad didn't really care so he gave me the money and I went to a local piercer and bought a needle and a straight barbell and some antiseptic.

Well, anyway, when I got home my mom wasn't there so I figured perfect chance to do it while mom is gone. I numb it with ice, cleaned it off with an alcohol wipe and marked the spot. I figured it would be quick and painless if I did it right and I did.

I was so proud that I got the needle through and it didn't hurt. I actually thought I was going to cry I was so proud. I mean of course I was only 12. I put the barbell inside the needle and pulled the needle out, then screwed to second ball on. I looked at it the mirror and was so happy that I had done it myself and I thought it looked amazing! Plus it didn't hurt, but it was kinda weird that I could hear the needle going through my ear...how GROSS!!!

As for my 3rd hole that is on my right ear. I had an earring for that one, but I didn't really like it and for Christmas my friend bought me this really cute barbell for my other piercing well I figured I wouldn't put it in that one so I got the needle I had used for my cartilage boiled had a lil bit of vodka and shoved the needle through. not thinking it would hurt. I was very surprised because it hurt like a BITCH ... but I suffered through the pain and put the barbell in. It looks great and my mom actually doesn't care about this one.
