Story: I wanted to get my tongue pierced for my 16th birthday, I tried to talk my parents into signing for me, but they would not. I looked on the internet for after care and did a lot of research. I purchased a needle from BMESHOP.com and it arrived at my house in about a week.
"The Deed" My girlfriend drives me to school so I asked her to pick me up a little early this day, she didn’t know what I was up to, but she agreed, we got to school about ten minutes early. I said "I’m going to pierce my tongue," so...I pulled down the vanity mirror, and took the needle out of the sterilized package. I kinda found the middle of my tongue, I [placed] the needle on the bottom of my tongue, as close to the webbing as I could get and, "1,2,3" it was in. It didn’t hurt at all. There was a lot of blood, but that’s normal for me, I have thin blood, and I bleed easily. I took the barbell and took the end off, pushed it through the hole, and I’ve loved it ever since.
To follow up: every time something was in my mouth ANYTHING food, water, cigarette, finger, ANYTHING I rinsed out w/ Listerine, you get used to the taste.
About 2 weeks later I wanted to up-gauge, so I shoved a 10g in there, it was a little tight, but I managed to get it in. For the first day, it felt weird because it was heavier then the 14g, but I got used to it. Two to three months passed and I wanted to up-gauge once more, a friend gave me an 8g barbell, this slid right in, as the 10g it felt weird, it was a lot bigger, but I got used to it. I love my tongue ring.
