Title: Painless navel piercing!
Author: Jen
Complications: No problems at all except i couldn't get a ring through right away
End Result: So far it's not infected and it's healing normally... I think
Happy with the Result: Yeah i'm super happy it didn't hurt and I didn't have to spend like $30!
Date Done: Beginning of April 2003
Story: I was looking around online at piercing info. and I didn't expect myself to actually do it , but I was talking to my boyfriend and he said that it'd be so cool if I did... so I did... I was expecting it to hurt a lot though, lol!!
First, I was looking in my mom's sewing stuff for a good needle, and I found a boutinear needle... it's thicker than a normal one (probally like 16g) so I sterilized it by boiling it and then I put neosporin on it. I just began jaming it through... it took a while to actually break the skin, but it did! I had to keep twisting it through for about half hour. Every once in awhile it hurt a little but that was just cuz it was stuck on some skin so I put a little neosporin on it to lubricate it and it worked!

I took it out to put a ring in it, but the ring wouldn't go through... so I decided to just re-sterilize a needle and do it over.. but this time I just cut the needle short with wire cutters and put a regular earing back on it. I just left it like that for a week so it would heel a little and then I changed it to a regular navel ring...it was so cool! I had it in for about a week or so then my mom found out and freaked out about it... she eventually let me keep it in though. So far it hasn't been infected badly... yes a little, but not life threatening.. like not green puss or anything bad...
