Story: I pierced my ear one day during my nightly shower and I liked it so after I had pierced my ear 5 times (3 left ear 2 right) I decided to gauge it I went from an 18 to an 8 in one night I got one of those cresent moon shaped 8g earrings and shoved the fucker through it hurt a little when I first put the tip in but when I shove that whole sucker through my ear was in so much shock I couldnt feel it.
So basically what I'm telling you is, don't fuck around with those spacing kits where you gradually stretch your ear just do what I did it heals fast and it isn't as painful. I also have another two tips, don't go from an 18g to a 16g (it hurts like a bitch), and when you pierce you're own ears, don't use a needle it hurts more and you WILL have trouble getting the stud through both of the holes (mostly the back hole) just get a sharp ended stud (they sell them at claires and other piercing booths) and shove that sucker through believe me I make it sound painful but I'm very experienced...now if you will excuse me im gonna go pierce my nipple.
