![]() STORY RATING: * * * * * (5 out of 5 stars) Title:"Beautiful Eyebrow" Author: Emily Complications: I was grounded, but other than that no complications so far End Result: Still have it at the moment, though who knows in a couple of weeks, days, months, or years, if it'll still be there Happy with the Result: So far yes, I'm REALLY happy with it Date Done: July 26, 2002 Story: Well, originally I was going to give myself a smiley, it's the webing under you upper lip, so when you place a ring through it you can, usually, only see it when you smile. I actually got the mouth wash, washed my mouth, and the barbell to PIERCE a smiley, but after noticing how hard it is to do it to yourself I gave up. I was going to leave my friend's house without getting anything pierced and wasting a needle :(. Not a great feeling, because originally I got that needle to send to my friend, Matt, to pierce HIS eyebrow, tee hee. I had everything for him, minus the instructions on how to, and now no needle Anyway, back to the story in hand...I decided my cartilage was out of the deal, and my tongue, I didn't have jewelry for, so my friend, Amanda, says "HEY! Do your Eyebrow!" We were at Nicole's house doing this and she was freaking, because I don't know, needles in body parts is freaky, lol. So I was trying to find a make-shift clamp to hold my eyebrow and found out, hey, screw it! I pulled the skin out a bit on my left eyebrow with my left hand, and pushed with the needle from bottom up with my right hand. Oh my god! It was pierced! I had Nicole take a picture of the needle actually in my eyebrow, and then I took the jewelry out and unscrewed the ball on one end. Since the needle is a hollow needle (those are the best trust me for the following reason), I placed the jewelry inside the needle making it SUPER easy to pull the needle up and pull the jewelry into the new hole. It started to bleed at this point, only at the top of the piercing, so Amanda help put some pressure on it with this cotton thingy, while I held the jewelry in place so it wouldn't fall out because that'd suck ass. It stopped bleeding and we cleaned up the blood a bit around the top hole. So the next challenge was getting the ball BACK on. At this point I was shaking from being so hyper than down, then hyper again from finally having something pierced. Amanda tried, then I tried in vain, and then FINALLY Amanda, thank you, got it on, lol. I some how convensed my mom to let me spend the night at Amanda's and hid it from her by moving my crappy bangs over it and yea, it worked! I spent the night at her house, and then showed my mom the next morning. She thought it was fake, I'll admit it may be a little low, but other than that it doesn't bug me and it's only still sore to touch. It'll take about a month to two to heal, so I hope it stops being sore to the touch, I'm not sure how long it stops being sore like that, but I will find out. Hopefully, I'll get completely off being grounded soon, because I have been since the 27th of July which sucked, but I read a book that was pretty long, that ended up sucking ass. Anyway, e-mail me if you have any questions or something, that was my story, yo, lol. ![]() Needle: 2" industrial strength needle Gauge: 14G Purchased: BMEshop.com Cost: $2.99 Jewelry: Curved barbell, small in length, with blue and white beach ball acrylic balls Gauge: 16G Purchased: Spencer's Gift Store at the mall Cost: $14.99 Aftercare:Twice a day, morning and night, anti-bacterial soap wash with warm water Purchased: Don't know Cost: Free parents paid for it TOTAL COST: Around 20 bucks ![]() It's now August 16, 2002, and my eyebrow is doing extremely well, I only wash it once a day (mornings) since over washing can lead to rashes and not necessorily help the piercing. It isn't sore to the touch anymore, which lasted about a week and half after piercing, but if I hit it, it does hurt a bit, which isn't a good thing, tee hee. I still don't have the pictures developed but soon enough I'll end the role of film. I LOVE MY EYEBROW! It's now November 24, 2002 and I've nearly lost my eyebrow on several occasions, but so far I've managed to keep it. There's a little red circular scar near the top hole which I think is where the needle originally came out so the piercing migrated. So far it's alright right now, I've switched between rings and my barbell and I like my barbell the most :). It's now January 1, 2003 and not too long ago a little bit before Christmas actually, the ball on my barbell BROKE INTO TWO! I luckily had purchased a 14G barbell when my piercing was "sick" so I had that, unfortunately, my piercing was used to a 16G. I, also fortunately, had purchased two 14G horse shoes from BMEshop.com and I had chipped the end of my red one, since they are pop ons and not screw ons. I used this as taper and I gauged my eyebrow to a 14G, I now have a 14G metal barbell in, and I love it more and more everyday!! It's now March 27, 2003 and on March 25, 2003 I removed my eyebrow piercing. Due to complications beyond my skill of healing and control, including signs of infection and rejection removal was my only option. I regret to have to say I miss it dearly...and yes...I sadly cried because it was my prized piercing. Good luck to all you self piercers...becareful, because you may end up with a really big scar as I have, thank you and enjoy the site. ![]() The following picture I took on January 21, 2003, you can see my eyebrow ring some what if you look on MY left eyebrow. I've recently switched to a ring, I decided I didn't like 14G after all ![]() ![]()
