.: Piercing Guns :.

You're probably thinking that because these are SO main stream that they are perfectly safe. Since, because you can easily get your ears pierced at the mall for under 20 bucks or so and get a bottle of "ear solution" means it's good for your ears. Well, then you're "stupider" than you look!

Piercing guns aren't good "tools" to pierce with, period. Mind you, I had four holes pierced via the piercing gun which was before I learned otherwise. They apply unneeded pressure to the piercing, ripping through your flesh with these "sharp" studs which don't really allow the piercing to swell, which puts pressure on the piercing. You can't really clean a stud either. Hair can get trapped in around this stud irritating the piercing and crusties can too, which isn't a good thing. If you think an alcohol wipe is efficent cleaning before the next user I recommend you get your ears pierced immediately at your local mall! (note the sarcasm)

It can be ESPECIALLY rough on cartilage, cartilage is always sorta bitchy to begin with, besides painful to have pierced (as far as I know). Crushing it with a piering gun isn't the smartest thing to do...Over all...I just wouldn't use a piercing gun PERIOD!
