I woke with a heavy
heart, because of the events that took place the night before. I couldn’t
believe it all happened. Too much all at once had gone on.
One minute I was talking to Patty, and the next I was punishing all of my kids…
something that had never been done… well almost all my kids. Timmy wasn’t
anywhere in sight, and Skyla was in her little spot, so they hadn’t even known
about most of what had gone on. I looked
to my side; Timmy had climbed in with me at some point. His bright eyes greeted
me first. He moved closer to me so that he had himself tightly against me. He
kissed my cheek.
“Morning, Mamma.” He
said with a smile. I grinned as I ran my fingers through his hair.
“Morning Baby, I
like how you’ve been behaving lately. You’ve got your struggles, but I see a
lot of improvement.”
“You do?” I nodded
as I sat up and gathered him into my arms.
“In the last few
days you’ve helped me without complaint, in a number of ways. I thank you for that;
you really are a good boy.” Timmy grinned at the comment.
“Believe me I when I
understand what you’ve been doing.”
“Why?”
“I just do. I know
why you’ve tried to push me away. You wanted to see if I would push you away as
well. Am I right?” The cub just nodded. Just as we were talking I heard a
shout,
“Shanda, Kenya! Give that back!” I sighed; those girls were supposed to stay
in their rooms and be quiet today still. Telling my son that I would be back, I
headed out to see what was going on. My younger girls were being chased by
Darlita. They were tossing her bra back and forth to each other.
“When I get a hold
of you two, you're dead!”
“They are not,
Darlita Rose. Now you get back to your bed now!” I scolded. “Kenya Elisa, and
Shanda Kiri, give that
here!” I ordered; seeing that I wasn’t joking or laughing ,
they handed it to me. I smacked their
backsides,
“The both of you
know that you're supposed to stay up there, and that you're supposed to also
stay on your beds as well, now get up there! Either one of you come down with
out permission, are going to get into major trouble,
is that understood?”
Both nodded as they
headed upstairs.
I headed back into
the bedroom where I had left my son, when I got in there I was surprised to see
Timmy changing Bliss for me.
“I already did him.”
“Thanks! So much Timmy!” I said as I watched him out her on the
floor.
“What else should I do for
you?”
“Alright, who are
you and what’d you do to my son?”
“I AM your Son,
Mamma!” Timmy said laughing at me.
“You
sure?” I added as I picked
him up and headed over to the bed wrestling with him a bit. Timmy laughed as
hard as he could as I started tickling him.
“Stop I have to,”
“You have to what?”
“I have to go to the
bathroom!” I let him up as he left the room I playfully swatted him. He looked
at me and grinned.
It had seemed to be
forever since I had played with just one of my children. I mean I do play with
them normally though it's in a group.
I headed outside to
try to get something done; I noted that it had rained the night before.
Shrugging it off, I stared to hangs several loads of laundry, as I bent to get
a pin I’d dropped I felt something hit me, I turned to see Timmy laughing hard,
in his hand he held a mud ball.
“Is that what you
hit me with?”
“Yep, and I’m going
to get you again!”
“No, you're not! Cause I’m coming to get you!” I told him, dropping the
articles in my hands and running after him. I almost took hold of him but, at
the last second Timmy, slipped past me. I fell.
“Mamma!”
“I’m fine.” I told
my son as he tried to help me stand back up.
“Did we interrupt
anything?” I turned to see Patty, Red and Rainbow standing there.
“Who the Shaza, are you?”
“Timba! Watch your mouth!” I scolded then greeted my
friends.
“I’ve got one like
that,” Red told me, smiling his amusement. He handed me one of my infant twins.
As Patty still had hold of the other.
“That, Red is only
one of mine.” Patty started to head into the house to put Scarlet into the
cradle inside. But Timmy cut her off.
“Don’t think so. You
can give her to me and I’ll take her in,”
“Timmy! That’s
enough! Let her be. Patty’s not going to hurt anything by taking the baby
inside.” Timmy backed off as Patty went through the door.
"Go play, Son.
I think Rainbow, here wants to talk to me a little bit, then I’ll be able to
play again for a little while. I think.”
“Okay!” He said
running off.
Red, and Patty took off to do their work, as
Rainbow and I sat and talked.
By the end of the conversation,
we had made amends with all that had been wrong. As we noticed that it was
getting late, Rainbow bid a goodnight and took off.
