“Here, Joy,” Darlita
handed her a book, just as Skyla had ran through,
“That’s my sister,”
She said snatching the book from Darcy’s hand and handed it to her sister.
“Skyla, you need to
stop it!” Darcy scold her, “I wasn’t doing anything
that would hurt her, or take her away.” Skyla just glared at the teen and
handed the book to Joy.
Not liking how Darcy
was talking to her, Skyla shoved her back, I had just
walked into the room in time to see it happen. I stormed up to Skyla,
“You know better
then that! Tell Darlita, your sorry then get into the corner.”
“NO,
she MY sister.” The little
girl winced as my hand connected with her backside,
“First off Skyla Videl,” The little girl winced at the sound of her full
name. “Your NOT to tell me no, and secondly your to do as your told! Do you
understand me?Young Lady?” I
scolded. She stood there in silence,
“If you don’t want a
trouble, I suggest you do it right now,” Looking to the floor, Sky did as she
was asked.
“Thanks you, Sky,
now get on over there,” I comanded giving her hind
end a smack where her hands couldn‘t reach. She did as I had said,
I turned to the
other two, go on outside and play before it gets too
cool out.” Darcy not being foolish enough to disobey grabbed her new sister’s hand
and ran out the door.
I walked to the
porch, to where Kenya had been sitting, and sat down beside her.
“You might want to
get to bed earlier, Kennie, I’m going to see your
brother, and I thought you might like to come with me.” That little girl was on
her feet in a flash.
“I see big brother!”
I nodded.
“I go now!” She
stated starting to run in the direction of the lake, I took hold of her shirt.
“Not yet, Little one, you have to get some sleep first.”
“Oooooooooooooh!” Kenya stomped her foot in disappointment. I pulled her into my lap.
And held her for a few minutes.. Then spoke.
“If you go on up to
bed now, the faster morning comes, and the faster we see Timmy.” That cub flew
off my lap, and up those stairs in a flash,
“I
IN BED NOW MAMMA!!!!!! We
go see Timmy now?” LaughingI came in to tuck her in.
“Sorry Little One,
not yet, You have to close your eyes, and sleep
first.” I told her sitting down on the side of her bed. As gently moving my hand from her eyes, to her
chin, all the children love it when I do this, in a relaxing tone I started to
sing to her, She rolled so that she was on her belly, I started rubbing her
back,
~Do you wander,
wonder what makes the rain drops fall,” I noticed a couple of the others
started to climb into their own beds, They normally did do this when I would
sing, for some reason the children all seemed to love it.
~Wonder what makes
the trees so tall, Do you wonder why the sky is blue, do you wander why I love you?
Do you wonder why
you are you, Do you wonder.~ By this time I all the children had come up here,
all but Rei and Scarlet, they had been in bed for awhile now, I still sat there
on Kenya’s bedside, but now I had both Bliss and Chace
in my lap. They to were content by this . These are the
moments I cherished. I looked around the room. It had been
a week, and still this place seemed so empty with out him here, I started to
wonder if sending Timmy to Ursalia was a good idea. I laid with my children in
my arms, and all of them around me and fell asleep,
along beside Kenya.
