“Mamma! Mamma, Come see!” I
didn’t even have a chance to respond to my daughter, as she took hold of my
hand to see what has gotten her so excited.
“What is it, Kenya?”
“Come see!” She
answered, as she pointed to in front of her. Scarlet was crawling across the
room. I couldn’t believe it! That little girl’s only four months old and
already crawling! Scarlet looked up at me and grinned. As soon as I reached down to pick her up, she
let me know what she thought of that real quick!
Scarlet, also gave the what do you think your doing can’t you see I can
handle myself look. I had to laugh at the baby. She has always been the one
that was more independent. Also has always been the first to do everything
else. I knew she was smart but this?
This was something. Scarlet wasn’t just worming her way around she was
on turbo speed!
“Kenni, was she
doing this in Rainbowland?” The child shook her head.
“Just did it this
morning, Mamma. Right before I get you.”
I looked at the little girl in amazement. Each of these children was
unique for sure. Not one of them were a like in anyway shape or form.
“Let me go! OUCH!
Stop it!” I turned to the window to see Timmy and one of the girls; he had her
in his hands and was dragging her towards the barn. I turned to the littler
ones telling them to stay there then stormed out.
“Timba Ian, you let
Skyla go!”
“Why? She’s nothing
but a whinny brat!” I could feel the red rushing to my face. Never had I felt
myself getting this angry about anything,
“Timba, if you do
not want the tanning of you life, I suggest you let her go RIGHT NOW!” I added
the last part with gritted teeth. Skyla managed to step on his foot which got
him to let go, then ran to me. After calming her down a few seconds and making
sure she wasn’t hurt. I headed to my son,
“You get into that
barn right now! I’ll be in there in just as soon as I cool down a little.” I
gave him a firm but gentle shove to get him moving in the right direction.
“And you better be
there when I get there, Young Man!” I yelled to him. Skyla let me pick her up
and carry her into the house. After setting her in a chair I told her that I
was going into my room to think I would be back shortly.
Seeing what just
happened I had to do something, this couldn’t go on any longer. Someone was
going to end up getting hurt. I made the decision. Tomorrow, Timmy and I would
head into the past, into Ursalia to train under Ursa. Sighing at the thought,
as well as a heavy heart, I headed outside, to tell him what was going to happen.
