“Morning
Stormy.” The woman slowly
opened her eyes to see who or WHAT was waking her up so early.
“Hi Shanda, now go
back to bed please.”
“Why it’s morning
now. It's time to play!” Shanda said as she started jumping up and down on Stormy’s bed so Stormy looked as if she was on a small
wave. Stormy sighed and looked at the clock although she really didn’t want to
know the time. She knew that the sun was barely up. It read five thirty.
“Please Shanda!”
Stormy half-begged .
“Can’t. it’s time to play;
side’s babies will all be getting up soon.
No more then five minutes after the five year old said that, both twins
started fussing, followed by the banging of the two toddlers that happened to
be in the old crib that had been put up. At least three different heads poked
in looking at Stormy, since she didn’t have the space in her area for all these
children she had to stay in the Color Castle with them.
Seeing that she
didn’t really have a choice Stormy got up and started to help the children with
getting themselves ready for the day.
~Wonder if I’ll
manage to make some type of shower at least! Stormy thought to herself as she
walked into Lightning’s room.
“Mom! Please help me, I can’t get up!” Lightning
said as she struggled against the ropes that were tightly tied. Stormy had to
laugh. Lighting looked so funny, and she was MAD! She fought even more against
her bonds
“Stop your laughing
and help me!” Lighting cried out in a half cry.
“I don’t know, I
think that I should just leave you like this; keeps you out of trouble.”
“MOM!”
“Alright,
alright. Relax, Girl.”
Stormy then headed into another room for a minute,
“MOM! Come back!”
“Lightning, for
crying out loud! I was only going into the other room to get a knife to cut you
loose!” Stormy told her sawing away at one of the ropes.
“Who did this
anyways?”
“How in the world
would I know? I was sleeping!” Lightning responded angered, still.
Stormy sighed, “I
know your position isn’t the greatest, but that doesn’t give you the right to
talk to me the way you just did.” Lightning winced as she apologized as Stormy
cut the last rope loose.
BANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stormy was heading
to the door when a loud crash came from the kitchen.
~Guess I better just
forget the little rain shower I was going to do. Those kids aren’t going to let
it happen.~ Stormy thought to herself as she walked to
the room where the crash had come from.
“WHAT IS GOING ON
HERE!” Stormy yelled out when she seen three
children sprawled across the floor on top of one another. And pieces of broken glass laid around
them, along with several cookie crumbs.
“Forest! Was this YOUR idea?” Stormy asked sharply.
“No it was hers.”
Forest pointed to Kenya and Shanda.
Stormy sighted and looked at the clock, it wasn’t even eight yet and at
least three of her little guests had struck already. Stormy couldn’t believe
it! Not even Lightning and normally Forest started that early, they weren’t
crazy enough.
Stormy cleaned the
mess up and commanded the girls to all go outside and play before she got mad.
Forest hurried her two friends as fast as she could, knowing Stormy wasn’t
joking.
In the meeting room,
Patty and Red were having an argument over something, not realizing they had
left the door open. Or that at least one child was in earshot. Patty shouted at Red,
“You’re an arrogant
little Dumb Ass, Red,” Red was about to comment on Patty’s comment when Chase
toddled in over to Red, lifted his arms asking to be pick up, to help get the
attention of the Red Color Keeper, Chase shouted,
“Dumb
Ass.” Both Patty and Red
looked at the ten month old in shock before Patty busted up laughing.
“Kid, my name's,
Red, not”
“Dumb
Ass!” Chase repeated. This got Patty laughing even harder; so hard
in fact, tears were rolling down her cheeks.
“Take him! Patty!”
As Red handed Chase to the woman, Chase belted out “Dumb Ass” one more time
Patty was laughing hard again.
“Chase, lets go see
what your uncle,…”
“Dumb
Ass!”
“No not that one! I
mean Buddy’s doing.” Patty carried Chase
into the room where Buddy had been working out.
“Buddy, I want one
like this one.” She called to him. “He’s fun.”
“Fine,” Buddy
answered not paying attention to what Patty was really saying,
“Really!”
“That’s what I
said,” Buddy said as he continued working out. Patty walked over kissed her
husband on the mouth then left calling out her thanks.
That’s when what she
had just asked sunk in,
“Oh boy” Buddy
groaned with his hands over his face, “I should have listened a little closer.”
He sighed as he started back in his workout while he started to think of an
easy way out of it.
Later that evening,
Red came rushing into the Dinning Hall a little late, no one had really started
to eat yet they were just getting started. He noticed that Chase had noticed
him. Chase looked up to the man, and cried out,
“Dumb
Ass!”
“Would you please
quit calling me that? My names not,”
“Dumb
Ass!” Chase repeated. By
this time, everyone was laughing hard and were about to fall out of their
seats. Chase reached out to Red again and called to him.
Forest turned to her
twin and whispered,
“I think I’m going
to like this kid,” Aqua slapped herself in the head at her sister’s comment.
