“No!” Kenya yelled
at me when I told her to eat her breakfast, the food flew through the air and
landed against the wall across the room.
“Kenya Elisa that’s
enough,” I told her picking her up and taking her over to the mess she made,
“Now you can clean
it up, and your going back to bed.”
“No I won’t!”
I sighed this kid
had been like this every since Timmy had been taken to Ursalia. She had been pushing
it since daybreak. First she had put glue in the older girl’s hair. All of them. Then ran around making as
much racket as she could.
“Kenya, your asking for it.” She glared at me, then
started to run. I managed to grab hold of her. And take her up to her room.
Ordering to sit there on her bed and not to get up and if she did she’d get in
more trouble then she could dream of. I felt a tug on the back of my skirt. I
turned,
“Mamma” Skyla raised
her arms up when I turned and looked into her eyes, she and Elliot tended to do
this when I would get upset. I picked her up and held her close.
Skyla nuzzled into
me as she smiled. This made me smile as we left the room and headed down. I put
her down so that could check on Tanjia for a moment,
her fever was finally lifting up, still had a slight one, by would be up and
around again in the next day or two. I walked back out, and this time, Elliot
asked me to hold him. It was funny, him and Sky both asked to be held more then
the any of the babies did. He nuzzled into me, just as Shanda came running into
the room, screaming at the top of her lungs,. Putting
Elliot down, I turned to her and gathered her in my arms, she was scared to
death.
“Monster
in there!” She said
pointing into the inside bathroom. I sighed, *did anything ever let up around
here?* I wondered. I walked into the
bathroom to see what was going on I turned on the light, and there stood Kenya
holding a rope with what looked like a ghost in the dark. I told Shanda to ago
find something to play with, and grabbed Kenya’s arms and started to take her
to the barn, she fought and struggled with me enough that I had to stop and
pick her up so that I wouldn’t hurt her. She noticed that I did have the spoon
in my hand and started to scream and carry on.
“I’m sorry, Kenya,
but I told you if you didn’t stay there that I was going to do this, I said
sitting her on the haystack. She grabbed
tight to the sides of her pants knowing that when she came out here, that when she
came out here, they were coming down. I tried not to laugh at the antic. I
shook myself from it,
“Now Kenya, let go
so we can get this over with.” The little girl shook her head. Without saying
anything I turned her over my knee and swatted her a few times, stood her back
up, this time she let go without me saying thing, She
sniffled as I got them down and back over my knee for the real spanking. When I
stood her up, and had everything back in place, I told her unless she wanted a
repeat, to get to her room and stay there.
She ran in. I stood
there for a few minutes. I sighed trying to figure everything out. I knew that
things were going to be rough but not like this! I was starting to wonder about
something. But then shook my head. I knew when her brother was back she would
be as good as gold again. I headed in and after telling Darcy where I was
headed up to talk to Kenya.
