Owie!” Skyla yelped as she fell. “Gribbi, I falled,…” She called as she wandered into the room she thought he was in. Only to find Ursa.

“Gritti had to go out, maybe I can help you.”

“No, I want my Gribbi” Skyla told her stubbornly. Ursa had to laugh at the child’s antics as she pulled her to her so she could get a better look at the scrapped knee. Skyla liked how Ursa was letting her be this close to her. She was starting to think that if Gritti wasn’t there, that Ursa would do. As soon as Skyla was patched up she turned and looked Ursa in her eyes, then stood on her lap. Grinning. Ursa was wondering what the child was up to. And got her answer Skyla leaned down and kissed the leader. Just as Buddi walked in.

“What the?!” Buddi turned and stormed out of the room and out of the building. The doors slamming behind him. Ursa looked at the child who cringed back a little,

“I’ll be back, I just need to talk to him.”

“Buddi Barbic, you know better than to throw a tantrum.

“I know I’m sorry.” He said wiping his face off. “Its just that,… that….”

“That you seen Sky do what she did.” He nodded. “ She was just thanking me for helping her. You shouldn’t let something like that get to you.”

“Your right, I’m going to go play my flute now.” She nodded and headed inside. Sky reached back up and let her hold her tight. By the time Gritti and Buddi both had come in for the night, Sky had fallen asleep in Ursa’s arms. She was content. Ursa handed the cub to Gritti and the child instantly curled in his arms. He beamed as she did so. Buddi noticed that neither Gritti or Ursa could look at each other without turning red.

“I’m going back out before I catch what ever that you two have.” The older barbics both laughed at Buddi’s comment as he left the room.

When Sky woke up she found Buddi sitting there at the end of her bed.

“Gritti and Ursa had some business that they had to take care of so, I’m watching you, Sky. Did you want to go play hide and seek like we did before, only this time your doing the counting, and I do the hiding?” Skyla jumped out of her bed and ran out the door before Buddi had a chance to think.

Skyla started her counting. When she looked up she noticed that Buddi was gone, and started looking for him. After about five minutes Skyla told him that she gave up. Not getting an answer Skyla started to tremble.

“Come back Duddi I be good I be good!” She cried out. She looked around a little more, then sat on the ground and started to cry.

“I want my Mamma!” She cried out.

“What in the world are you doing out here, Little girl?” Skyla reached out as Gritti picked her up.

“They gone, they go leave me, I bad!” Gritti’s heart fell for the child, she was scared. Buddi was suppose to be watching her, where was he? Gritti looked at Ursa she nodded in response looking around.

Duddi’s not here! He go to, he leave me too!” Ursa’s nails dug into her hands to mask out the anger that she had at the moment. She talked to Skyla while she still had a firm grip on Gritti. Skyla told her everything that had happened.

“I’ll meet you back there later, Gritti, I’m going to have a talk with MY boy.” Gritti know all to well what Ursa had in mind, nodded. But decided that Sky could use a good meal, and followed Ursa the best that he could back home.

Buddi could feel the cold stare behind him. He didn’t even want to look into her face, knowing how much trouble he was in. Or that’s what he thought. Ursa took hold of his flute and took it out of his hands, and put it into her belt. He had yet to see what was in her hand. Ursa took hold of his ear and started dragging him to his room. That’s when Buddi noticed that she had the dull sword in her hand.

“No not that, Ursa, come on! Please no, Please don’t” He cried as she drug him through the halls,

“Have heart Ursa, I didn’t mean it!” Ursa stopped in her tracks and turned to him that’s when he noticed that her face was white,

“What part of leaving a five year old alone out in the wood, like that didn’t you mean, Buddi Timba Barbic?” Buddi swallowed. “Do you know how upset she was when we found her?” She asked as she started to drag him into his room, Buddi still continued to beg.

As soon as she heard the first of Buddi’s cries, Skyla scrambled as fast as she could from Gritti’s lap and ran to her own room and climbed under the bed. Trembling. Only she found his yells even louder here, Gritti went over to her, and picked her back up, she was still frightened from being left behind, and now the sounds coming from the other room were helping her stay frightened.

“Buddi hurt?” She asked looking into Gritti’s eyes. He nodded

“In away yes. But he won’t ever leave you like that again that’s for sure. He’ll think long and hard first before hand.” Skyla understood the rest. They heard Ursa tell Buddi that he could get cleaned up the he was to be back in his room he was going to be staying there for the rest of the week, then he still wasn’t going to be going out, that he would have extra chorse to do. And that he had lost his flute until she was ready to give it back to him. Buddi nodded.

“LOOK WHAT YOU DID YOU LITTLE BRAT!” Buddi heard Ursa clear her throat and seen her tapping her sword.

“You want more?” He shook his head and started off,

“Buddi don’t you think you should say something to her.” Ursa asked Buddi just walked off and shut the bathroom door before Ursa had a chance to open it back up locked. He was mad, and he hurt.

*That Little Brat, got me into a lot of trouble, Now I’M the one that has to apologize I don’t think so. Ursa can do what she wants to me, but I’m not talking to either one.* He thought getting himself ready for bed.
