“I am!”
“Yes, Timmy, you’ve
behaved the most of the time, But if, IF you ever
fight again, I’ll make sure you really feel that switch. Is that understood,
Young Man?” Timmy nodded and ran off, I turned to Shanda
“The same goes for
you, you can go.” She didn’t have to be told twice.
As the group were playing, and I was watching the toddlers, I heard
one of the triplet cry out. I turned to her.
“Whats
wrong, Mel?” She pointed to Skyla. I took a deep breath, I was ready to
strangle that cub, I wouldn’t but she was driving me crazy. I pulled Sky to me
and told her to tell me what she said to her sister. After she answered, I took
her upstairs and told her to sit, cause if she moved
she would be in more trouble that she’d ever dream of. I got her a bag
together. And took hold of her again, and drug her out to the lake after
telling Darcy to keep an eye on the others for me.
Once at the lake I
took her through the time portal, and headed of Ursalia,
“Your
going to stay with Ursa for a couple days,” She shook her head and started
clinging to me tightly.
“Don’t go, Mamma!”
“I’ll be back to get
you in about
two weeks, this will give you and me time to relax.”
“I not go!” Sky said
putting on the breaks, not wanting to deal with it. I just picked her up and
carried her over to the city.
“Duddi, you here?” Sky asked seeing Buddi sitting on the fountain.
“Buddi, do you know
where Ursa is?”
“She’s in the
dinning hall with Grubbi.” He told me I thanked him and carried Skyla to where
they were.
“Selena, what are
you doing here?”
“I come to ask a
favor.” Ursa raised her eye brow at me,
“Could you possibly
watch Sky for me for a couple days, don’t worry she’s not like Timmy was, we
just need a little break from each other.” I watched as Grubbi walked over to
her.
“You
too big!” Skyla said as she
reached out to Grubbi.
“I guess it wouldn’t
hurt.” Ursa said with a not so sure tone in her voice.
I told Sky that I
would be back for her later. And left a five year old that
could scream like you wouldn’t believe. I could hear her back by the
fountain where we first came in. As much as it hurt, I knew that it would be
best for right now.

“Skyla, come on now”
Grubbi said trying to calm her, “You want to help me make some maple cookies?”
“NO!” She said
stubbornly as she managed to get out of Grubbi’s arms and run out the door,
Ursa’s heart fell seeing this even though she knew herself that I would be
back. Ursa called out to her. As she caught up to her.
And Sky sat on the fountain.
“No!” Skyla shouted
slapping Ursa’s hands away from her, then turning her back on the Barbic. Ursa
decided since it wasn’t that late or anything that she would just let her come
in when she was ready.
“Sky, the sun’s
starting to set, Ursa wants you inside.”
“No” She shoved
Buddi back. Buddi did what Ursa would have done, and picked the child up and
carried her to Ursa, Buddi found out how hard it could be to carry a five year
old that’s fighting you so hard.
“ENOUGH
SKYLA!” Ursa yelled out
making the child freeze for a moment then start again only louder this
time. Having no luck Ursa took the child
from Buddi turned her over and gave Skyla three swats, that
made even made Buddi wince. Then put the little girl in her bed, and shut the
door, letting the child be.
