"Ulisa, I hate to bother you while you're at work but I have a small problem

 Ulisa opened the communication port and said, "No problem, I'm at lunch. What's up“

"It's Shanda”

 "What's wrong?"

“She took off again and I can't find her, she's been gone since late last night, I never even heard or saw her leave, I noticed it when I got up this morning”

Ulisa nodded, "I'll have my scouts keep an eye out

 Thanks I appreciate, It. Oh she has no shoes or coat on both are here still

 Ulisa nodded, "What kind of clothes is she wearing?"

Her nightgown

 Ulisa nodded, "alright. I'll take a look around myself"

Thanks a lot

 Careful though. It's suppose to get bad out In a bit Ulisa nodded, "Not a problem." she closed the port and headed out of her office Shanda comes out of a shop with a stick of candy in her mouth

 And turned the corner, running right into Ulisa. Ulisa grabbed hold of the girl, "Shanda!"

 Shanda jumped startled and looked up, "HI Ulisa, what are you doing here

 "I'm at work."

 Work?

 I run the orphanage, remember?"

 “I was there before you took me to Mama's farm

 Ulisa knelt down, "What are you doing her? Where's Mama?"

 I went for a walk and Mama said I could, she's at home with the others

 Does Mama let you walk this far by yourself?" she raised an eyebrow

 No but she said I could walk in the woods ad I did

You aren’t in the woods, sweetie."

  Then you aren’t following the rules are you?

  No I not Ulisa, but Mamma made me mad! She put me in my room just cause I took Rei's toy from her

 Did you take the toy when Rei was using it?

 Yes but I wanted It, but mamma said no cause It was the babies toys, and she didn’t want me touching those

 Then, you disobeyed her, didn’t you?'

 But It's NOT FAIR! I wanted THAT!

 You have your own toys, don't you?

 Yes but I wanted those ones

 Shanda said folding her arms with a scowl

 Would you like It If one of your siblings just took one of your toys because they wanted them?

  Now, is that a nice way to handle something?

 That’s how I handle things

 I didn’t ask that. I asked If It was nice

 Mamma says it not nice

 Okay then.. Was it nice to run off because you got mad? Doesn't your mother punish you for running off when you don't get what you want?"

 No it wasn't nice and yes she does punish me when I run

 Ulisa nodded, scooped the girl up and flung her over her shoulder, "Then you're going back to your mama

 NO DON'T DO THAT! SHE'LL WHIP ME! I BE GOOD DON'T SEND ME BACK!

 You gave your mother a heart attack Shanda. She called me a few minutes ago, almost in tears

 So! What does she care?

 She loves you! You scared her to death!

 No she doesn't she like others better

 That's silly. Why do you think something like that?

 Cause she hurts allot

 Do you know why she punishes you?

 For running

 Yes, because that is dangerous and she doesn't want you to get hurt

 I not going back I run again

 Oh no you're not." Ulisa walked into the office, keeping a firm grip on Shanda

 What are you doing?

 Taking you inside where we're going to wait for mama

 NO!

 Shanda stomped her foot shouting

 Ulisa looked at her, "If you throw a fit, I'll smack you." She scooped Shanda up, pinning her over her shoulder as they walked in

 I not going home!

 Ulisa smacked the girl’s backside once as she stormed in

 The child screamed as she was being drug in kicking and screaming

 Ulisa sat down in her desk; still keeping the cub pinned and summoned up Selena

 "Ulisa did you find her?'

Yes, she was outside my orphanage and I have her here with me

 What how did she get way out there?

 Through the woods apparently

 What, you know how long It takes ME to get into town

 Ulisa nodded, "I know

 I'll be right there, and if you feel you should do it, go ahead since she did make me cause you problems

 Ulisa nodded, "All right"

 And I don't mind you using that sword on her, I mean I use a switch on her for this and that’s not working

 Ulisa nodded, "I'll keep that in mind. I can summon a portal up for you, if you want"

 That’s fine; with me I have a sick baby on my hands so I can't be gone for two long anyways

 Ulisa nodded, "It'll be there in about five minutes, at your front door

 Aright thanks.

 Ulisa nodded and closed the link, turning to the squirming cub

 What Ulisa?

 Your mother's coming

 No she not!

 Yes she is. And she asked me to punish you myself before she arrives

 No you can't!

 She asked me to. You've taken me away from other cubs that needed me, could have given your mother a panic attack and may well had Injured yourself

  SO! The cub added as she got up and tried to leave the room

 Ulisa snagged the cub by the back of her neck, by her scuff

 Let me go! Get your hands off me

 No, young bears

 Don't you call me that!

 Young Bearess, you will _not_ speak to me in that tone

  Shanda just rolled her eyes at Ulisa

 Ulisa without another word, pushed Shanda against the desk, removed her elvish sword from her hair, extended it and whapped her backside with It 5 times

Shanda's scream was ear piercing as she stared at Ulisa

 When she was finished

 Ulisa put her sword away, "You do _not_ run off and you do _not_ regard elders in that fashion. Is that understood?

 "You not my elder," Shanda said sniffling a bit

 "You Ulisa

 Ulisa sighed, "I am older than you, aren't I?"

 Yes

 Then I'm an elder and you will treat anyone older than you with respect, understood?

 Shanda nodded, and a knock as well as a baby's cry was sounded at the door

 Ulisa kept a firm grip on the cub and called, "It's unlocked"

 "Shanda Kiri Walker what in the world are you doing clear out here, Young Bearess?" I asked walking in the door; I switched arms so that I had a better chance at holding onto the cub. Shanda just turned her head away refusing to answer me

 Ulisa smacked the cub's backside, "answering when asked is a term of respect, young Bearess

 "I not talking to her!" Shanda simply stated keeping her face away. I sighed and asked If Ulisa could take the baby for a second, who was still fussing as it was

 Ulisa nodded, taking the cub but not leaving the room

 Storming over to her, I asked Ulisa If It's aright if I do what I need to right here?

 Ulisa nodded

 Ripping the child's nightdress up, smacking her backside a good 12 times I told her she is never to act like that with me again. Standing her back up she nodded

 I told her to stand in the corner until I was ready to go

 Ulisa watched silently, not saying a word

 I looked to Ulisa; I know I might have seemed a little rough but with him being so sick right now I haven't slept in the past three days

 And she did this? And she had been like this the inter time

 Ulisa nodded and said, "Let me help you for a bit...take charge for a bit while you get some sleep

 I can't he won't let anyone but me around him for to long

 The weariness kicking in

 And showing

 Then let me take your other kids

 I looked to her for a few miniatures stunned, then said I'll have them ready after dinner

 Elisa nodded

 I have something I need to do anyways with some one when we get home

 I said looking to a cub standing near by

 Elisa nodded, "of course. I'll stop by then

 I nodded and thanked her telling Shanda to get moving we've got to go

 And took hold of my Infant and waited for the portal to open

 Ulisa gave a nod and handed the cub back. Ulisa followed the two through the portal, to keep an eye on Shanda

 After dinner I made sure everyone had a bag for a day or two for Ulisa got here

 Ulisa knocked on the door, entering

Hi Ulisa, Oh you don't have to bother with the knocking your welcome to just walk on in

 Anytime

 Ulisa chuckled, "all right then." She smiled at the gathered cubs

 I don't mind what the others do, but Shanda's grounded for the next month so all I want her to do is sit in a corner

 Of where ever you put her

 Ulisa nodded, "understood"

 Making a round of what seemed like a million kisses I bid everyone goodbye for the night

 Ulisa smiled as she led the cubs out, picking up the smaller ones

 "What we going to do Aunt Ulisa? Joy asked then paused a minute, "Oh I forgot to ask is it largish I call you that?

 Ulisa chuckled, "Of course you may. In answer, my kids are waiting and they'll show you to your rooms and then show you around"

 Okay! All the older ones said as one

 Chace stopped from where he was standing and turned round staring back

 Ulisa chuckled and led them to the gates to her home...a city more than a home

 Ulisa knelt down and scooped Chace up, "what's wrong, little one?'

 Tears started to fill his eyes, "Mamma" He said reaching back towards where they came from

 Ulisa smiled, "don't worry Chace; you'll see her in a little bit."

 "He a Mamma's boy, Aunt Ulisa," Skyla said as she walked over to them

 Chace took that time to break out in the loudest wail he had in a long time

 Ulisa chuckled, "I know. Chace, how about when we get into my home you make a present for Mama?'

 He shook his head no and cried out again

 Ulisa smiled and gently started to rub the cub's back and then said, "want me to ask Buddi over for you to play with?'

 Chace looked to her a minute, "Di?"

 She nodded

 Slowly Chace nodded but still sniffled a little

 Ulisa led the children in and after setting Chace in, she called her father's older self, knowing his 13 yr old self to still be ill

 Di? DI!" Chace squealed loudly

 The older Gummi walked in and chuckled, sitting on the ground

 Chace reached out to him squealing again in delight

 "Up Di!

 Buddi didn't waste time, scooping the cub up and tossing him upward as Ulisa's other kids greeted their guest

 Chace laughed as Buddi did this. The children stared at Ulisa's children in shock

 Faith, the eldest, spoke out, "Hi...'

 Several of the other cubs backed up, the triplets backed farther behind then the others clinging to each other

 Faith questioned, "What's wrong?

 The three didn't speak just clung to each other staring.

"Oh don't worry they're just really shy," Skyla spoke up.

 "Ah, Aunt Ulisa?" Joy called out tugging on her tunic

 Oh," Faith smiled and knelt down, "hey girls. My name is Faith."

 Ulisa turned to her, "yes, what is it, sweetie?"

 The three didn't answer.

"Ah Shanda's going that way" She told her as Joy pointed in the direction the child had started to run

 Ulisa merely snagged the girl by the neck and said, "And where are you going?"

 "Leaving! I don’t want to be here

 Ulisa scooped her up, "No, you're staying. Your mother needs a break"

 "Not going home either, I not going anywhere!"

 But away

 No, you are staying in here. Remember when I smacked your backside?

 She nodded

 That was a tap...I wasn't even smacking you but if you give me any trouble tonight I will not hesitate, understand?

 Shanda just stared at her

 I said do you understand?

 Shanda still didn't answer her

 Ulisa smacked her backside, "answer me, young Bearess

 "YES!" She snapped

 "Aunt Ulisa, Mama just puts her to bed when she gets like that" Tanni said quietly trying to help

 Ulisa merely nodded and then gave her a low voice, a tone that none of Selena's kids had ever heard; it sounded like Ursa's to some degree, "You're going to bed right now and I have to put you back even once, I'll really use that sword...if I'm feeling generous...understood?" She headed up the stairs, calling to Faith to show the others around

 "Not fair Shanda" Snapped as she headed in with Ulisa

 Young Bearess, at this moment, I don't care whether or not you think this is fair or not. You're not the only cub here. You will listen or suffer the price.

"Fine"

 Ulisa set her in bed, unknown to Shanda, setting up a magical barrier about the room, making it impossible for her to leave to go anywhere but the bathroom attached

 After bit, a sound kind of like a kitten's mew sounded from where the infants were

 The sound was softer though

 Ulisa smiled and walked to see which of the infants needed help

 "That

 's Sukura, she never really cry's that’s it

 Joy told her as Sky also walked over to the baby.

 Ulisa smiled and scooped the baby up, trying to see what she needed

 Skyla looked up she want this." She said handing Ulisa a bottle out of the bag that was sent for the babies

 Skyla beamed "I help Mamma all time with her” Ulisa chuckled, "Thanks girls. You're quite the little helpers” Sky beamed as Tanni thanked her. "Is Jonni alright" Tanni asked as one of her other siblings came darting through and behind Tanni,

"Kenya what are you doing?"

"Run, Darcy in that mood!" Tanni picked the frightened cub up and held her close Ulisa asked, quickly, "what happened, little one?'

 "She just yell at me, I only walk by where she was," The child whimpered and buried her head into her sister's chest,

 "When she gets like that she gets, mean Mamma's trying to stop her though" Tanni told her then went back to talking to the little girl in her lap Ulisa said, "will you two feed Sukura for me? Just sit down on the floor so you don't drop her," she stormed out of the room and down the hall, calling, "Darlita Rose! Get out here now!"

 "Sure," Tanni said stunned since she knew how to feed the infant walking around."

"What do you want" She asked before spotting the girls a bit, "I thought I told you to get out of my sight you little Pest!" She hollered down to where Kenni was, the child burst into tears

 Ulisa grabbed Darcy by the shirt, smacked her backside hard enough that the girl yelped, "I will _not_ have that kind of behavior in this house! Now, unless you want to feel me actually use my strength, I'd suggest you apologize right now!"

 "To that Pest Never" Ulisa smacked her again, harder, a smack that makes tears well up in Darcy's eyes

 "Leave me alone!" Darcy said trying to head back to where she was before

 “I'll let you leave when you apologize and not before”

 "Fine, sorry brat”

 Ulisa growled, "Darlita Rose, you will use her _name_ and if you refer to _anyone_ around her by anything buy their name, I _will_ use my sword on you”

 “Fine, sorry Kenya” Ulisa nodded and led the girl down to her room and said, "You're to stay in here for the rest of the night and I don't want to hear another word from this room, clear?

 “Fine by me I rather be in my room anyways” Ulisa chose not to reply to that. "Fine. Good night then." she closed the door behind her and headed back to the infants by the time she got bask, Tanni was pacing with a half sleeping Sukura, " I know you said sit on the floor with her but when she's finished she likes to walk to fall asleep and I do it all the time, and you were busy so I wasn't going to bother you" Tanni said real quick Ulisa smiled, "it's alright, Tanni. I'm impressed with how good you are with your siblings." she knelt to Kenya, "how are you, little one?"

 “Darcy mean, use to be nice, I stay with Tanni for now she nice" Ulisa smiled, "I don't know why she turned mean but your mother and I will straighten her out. For now, why don't you hang out with your other siblings?

 “I stay with Tanni and babies”

 Ulisa smiled, "that's fine sweetie. I'll be back a bit later. I'm going to check on the others"

 Okay." Ulisa smiled and walked downstairs, to see how the others were doing

 "Ulisa what’s this?" Skyla asked looking at the white machine on the desk?

 Ulisa turned, "hmm?"

 "That?" Sky sand walking over to the "I see me here" She said looking into the screen, "weird mirror"

 Ulisa smiled, "It's a computer sweetie. A machine that lets me write and gather information

 "A true?" She asked puzzled not able to get the word right

 Ulisa smiled, "Yes...when I turn it on, this screen turns different colors and shows what I want it to

 "Neat!'

 Ulisa chuckled, "do you want to see?'

 Skyla nodded

 Ulisa pressed the button, causing the screen it light up with a background of Ulisa with a taller male Gummi, brown with black hair.

 "Magic!"

 Ulisa chuckled, "I suppose you could call it that"

 Skyla's face fell after a few minutes, "Aunt Ulisa I want Elliot"

 Ulisa smiled, "oh, you miss your brother, do you?"
