“Daddy, I’m board
will you play with me?”
“Why not find
someone else I’m sure they’d be more fun than I am at the moment, I’ve got too
much to get done tonight.
“I can’t find someone else, Corvi’s brothers have each other, Toni’s doing something
with a could of the others. He went on.
“well
how about Elliot?”
“He’s stays with
Tavi and her aunt all the time now, it’s not fair!” He said whining, then started picking up a couple folders go help Plucki out.
Seeing that he was
doing this, the captain looked at his son and picked him up, gathered him into
his arms and headed out the door with him and sat down in a chair with him
gently letting the chair move itself as if they were gliding on air.
“What’s this for
Daddy?”
“The reward for
helping me, I’m cuddling with you.” Cubbi nodded and grinned, then looked at
him, Plucki stopped then said go get the brush out of the chest I’ll brush you
with it.” He nodded and ran to get it. He loved when Plucki pampered him like
this. Quickly he ran back and sat back in his father’s lap gently the brush
worked though the top of Cubbi’s head, then Plucki grinned and told him to lift
his arms,
He did looking at Plucki
odd, as he pulled his shirt off, and started brushing the fur on his back, arms
and belly.
“Daddy
that tickles!” He said
laughing as the brush kept up the work. Soon it stopped, Cubbi looked at him,
“So we have to
stop?” he asked.” Plucki nodded,
“Darn,”
“Time for you to get
your stuff on anyways you’ve got training, and Blastus is teaching today, so
you better go.” He nodded and got the armor and had Plucki help him get it on
before running out.
“Sorry Sir Blastus,
I was with Daddy.” Cubbi said running onto the fields. “I’m now ready though
sir.”
The older knight
nodded and laughed at Cubbi’s words.
“ bien maintenant
lets get started.” Then paired them up with each other. And said they would be
sparing against each other, Toni got paired with Elliot this time, Cubbi could
hear him saying some pretty cruel things to Elliot, Elliot stopped dead in his
tracks, and stared at Toni for a minute before running off in tears. Cubbi
dropped his own staff and ran after the cub,
“Go away Cubbi,” He
said in tears just then both Plucki and Blastus walked into the room they were
in,
“What happened?”
“Toni was saying
that Elliot was a no good yellow annoying crybaby that should still be in diapers.” Cubbi told him. The kept hold of Elliot
only tightening his grip. Blastus nodded and headed out calling for
Gumlittle.
