Timmy kicked the
wooded dummy hard, as he spun around so the soul of his foot made connection.
Then added on with his knee, then a couple with is hands.
He looked up at Gritty,
“How’s Buddi?” He
asked.
“He’s sore, but
better.” he told him watching his moves.
“That’s not bad
Timmy,” He nodded at the praise and stopped and thought for a moment then said
watch this, taking
a running start he managed to let is feet walk up the trunk of the tree by him
and do a backflip then land on his feet.
“Now if I had a
weapon I could take the head off anything that came near.” He said grinning,
and taking a drink.
“How long have you
been out here?”
“Since about noon I
think why what time is it now?”
“About four, have
you even eaten?”
“Not really, been
working on this more, I guess it didn’t pass my mind that I might need to do
that.” He said taking a cloth that he had brought out with him and wiping his
head with it. Then getting ready to start again.
“Alright, but don’t
tell Ursa that I let you skip, and you best be in for dinner,”
“Thanks Gritty!” He
called back then asked Gritty if he would help him with something really
quick.” Nodding Gritty did as asked as Timmy did the same with him as he did
earlier with the tree, and fliped
over Gritty with ease. And landed behind and acting like he had a dagger,
saying
“I can take anyone
now can’t I” He asked grinning. Timmy lived eat and breathed this training
stuff Gritty decided to see about sparring with the cub a bit himself, This
made Timmy flip,
“Really you will!0 Oh thank you Gritty!” He said getting ready as Gritty
handed him a staff. Eager Timmy took it and got ready to strike Gritty got the
first hit in, but Timmy got the second third and forth.
“Your to prideful
Timba, you need to loose that, there’s nothing wrong with a little pride, but you
have to get rid of some, other wise your going to loose the battle before it
even starts.” Gritty said using his staff to knock the
cub’s feet out from under him. Timmy looked up at him and grinned, as he stood
again. And readied himself for another round.
“This is fun Gritty
would you spar with
me more often?”
“I don’t see why
not. But I can’t right now, I’ve got to get some other work done.”
“What are you
doing?”
“fixing
a few weapons that broke.”
“Can I learn?”
“You can watch but learning to fix them you’d have to ask Ursa.” He nodded and
followed Gritty to the shop.
