"Buddi I need you to bring Chace back into
sickbay a minute." Grubbi hollowed to him
Buddi turned, "why?"
"Need to just check him over
once more." Buddi nodded and scooped the
toddler up
"Hi Di."
Hey Chace, Grubb wants to see you
for a minute'
"No him, he mean, he
hurt."
“I'll stay with you and then we can
play a little bit."Buddi carried the cub into sick bay'
A few minutes of looking over the
cub, Grubbi turned to Buddi, he's alright, but I need to give him something for
his blood pressure, it still hasn't gone back to normal yet, it's almost there
but not all the way." Buddi just
nodded,
"You know what you need to do
for him don't you?
Buddi moans, "You gotta do
THAT to him? You don't have any herbs or something?"
"Sorry, Buddi not for one this
young, If we don't he could go back into that coma that he just came out of or
worse." Buddi just nodded and decided to
handle this Ursa's way...just do it
"That's it, now hold him still
for me, Grubbi said as he walked over to them with the needle
Buddi kept Chace's face turned away
and just started talking to him as soon as
Chace felt that pricking, he let out a blood curling scream
And started wailing hard Buddi just
started rubbing the cub's hair and cooing to him
"Were done Buddi, you can hold
him right again if you want
Buddi scooped the cub up in an
instant the cub clung to Buddi like a leech with one hand and batted Grubbi way
with the other, "Bad rbic," Chace yelled out Buddi just laughed and carried the cub out
"What's with the siren
Buddi?" Ursa asked as he and the toddler started to walk by
"Grubbi stuck him with a
needle"
""Mean Rbic." Chace
said looking around the room
Clinging tighter to Buddi's throat Buddi giggled and then said, "Chace, yer choking
me
"He seems to act like someone
else I know once did when they were that small."
Buddi glared at her, "I didn't
do this!
"Yes you did you clung tighter
though Buddi just pouted and turning to
Chace, started tickling him the toddler started laughing hard for a bit then
stopped and just looked at Buddi
"Uh oh Buddi blinked, "Uh oh...oh NOT that
Comes with the job, Buddi, have
fun." Ursa said walking out of the room
"Mama...I don't know HOW to do
that?
Well figure it out, I didn't know
it at first either and Buddi just moans, "C'mon
Mama...a hint?
"Just put a cloth over top his
belly, your you'll regret it Buddi moaned,
"I can't do this..." but he walked off Chace rolled all over the
place making it more difficult for Buddi
Buddi growled but he did take
Ursa's advice As Buddi got the next diaper out Chace rolled over onto all fours
then stood up and ran about the room
Laughing as he went Buddi moaned,
"C'mon! Help me out here Chace" he begged, chasing the cub the cub just laughed and headed out the door. Buddi
moaned, "why me?" and ran after the cub, calling to Ursa up ahead,
"Catch him Mama
Ursa just turned
around and picked the cub up, "You missing something Buddi?" She
asked handing him back, as he took the cub back; the coolness in the room hit
the cub. Buddi merely narrowed his eyes
She laughed a little before saying,
"What, you don't thing you did that to me more than once?"
Buddi merely said, "Please
don't tell me that...and I _told_ you...I can't do THIS part
"Come here and watch,"
She told him Buddi followed her after showing him the steps she said now that's
how you do it
"Now you might want to go get
yourself cleaned up
Buddi said simply, "I never
woulda figured THAT Buddi just walked off and into the bathroom

Chace stood at the door whimpering
a bit, "Di me in!
Buddi finished quickly and came
out, picking the cub up, "I'm not your lungs you know...you CAN live
without me
"My Di" Chace said as he
curled into Buddi.
Buddi looked at Ursa, "mama...
Ursa just laughed and walked off Buddi rolled his eyes but walked off
with the young cub
A bit later Ursa came into the room
where Buddi and Chace were playing, "Buddi you need to have Chace get his
stuff up soon, bed times coming for both of you, and it's already pretty
late,"
At that moment Chace stood up and turned to Ursa, and
spoke, "HELL no Ursalia
Buddi couldn't help it. He covered
his mouth and burst out laughing
Ursa just shot him a glare, and
asked Chace who told you my real name?" Chace sat back down but started
saying "Ursalia,
Over and over
Buddi laughed again, lying against
the wall
Chace liking the reaction started
saying it more and louder
Buddi caught his breath,
"sorry mama...that's funny
She shot him that you laugh at that
once more and your so dead look
Buddi covered his mouth and ran out
"Take him with you,
Buddi"
Buddi snagged the cub up and ran
out...bursting out laughing.
A bit later Ursa walked to where the two cubs were,
Chace tell Ursa where you heard my name like that?" She asked him scooping
him into her arms, "Di say it" Chace told her innocently
Buddi covered his face, "CHACE
The toddler just looked at him with

Buddi just grinned at Ursa
innocently, with a broad smile and a nervous laugh
Ursa put the toddler down and tells
him to stay right there and motions for Buddi to stand
Buddi backs up, "Uh uh."
he darted out of the room
Ursa looks to the hall he's in and
yells Buddi Timba Barbic, if you don't want my belt I suggest you come back
here now
Buddi skitted and turned around
Ursa gestured towards her belt, and says you come back
here now and I'll go easy on you but if you don't I'll use this
Buddi ran over there like lightning
Ursa just gives him three swats
over his seat,
Buddi eeps, "he asked
"Well you could have just said
Ursa couldn't you?

Buddi covered his mouth, "got

Chace tugs on Buddi's tunic and

Buddi looks at Ursa, "Ya wanna
translate that?

Ursa asked grinning

Buddi lifted the cub up,
"don't call me that!" he turned to Ursa, "and how did you get
all THAT from THAT?
Di Imb Rbic" Chace started
repeating, "I had experience Buddi, and you think you were easy to
understand at first either
Buddi turned red, "please
don't tell me that" to Chace he said, "I said don't call me that

Buddi looked at Ursa
"If you don't want him saying
it slap his backside and tell him to stop it

Chace struggles to get down

Buddi just laughed out loud at the
adult's face
They both glared at Buddi and told
him to take him out before Buddi got skinned himself
Buddi scooped the cub up and ran
out like fire
Buddi put the cub into the crib,
the cub just started to wail a bit.
Buddi picked the cub up again and
he stopped
Buddi thinking sat in the rocking
chair, again the cub started to wailing again
Buddi didn't know what to do.
"What? What do you want? I ain't a mind reader!"
Chace just started wailing louder,
Buddi groaned and tried to think
but he didn't know what he should do
"Buddi what in the world is
that?
Buddi turned
Ursa looked at him; As Chace's cry
grew even louder
Buddi moans, "I dunno what to
do...I dunno why he's crying
"Well have you tried anything that might work?'
I tried rocking him but that didn't
work
"Well did you check his
diaper, or how about give him something to eat?
I checked his diaper
How about fixing him a bottle?
Buddi blinked, "Uh...how do I
_do_ that?!" the cub was nearly in tears himself, panicked and lost
"Follow the instructions on
the label."
Buddi stared at her, panic still
shining in his eyes as Chace simply piped up his yell
"Watch, she simply put the powder
into the bottle and put some warmed water into it then shook it before handing
it to Buddi, "Give him that."
"And rock him
Buddi took it and tried that
the cub drank for a few minutes
before starting to cry a bit more, but not as harsh, Ny" He said
whimpering
Buddi looked at Ursa, with a
"now what?" expression
"Down in sickbay didn't Selena
bring him some type of you? Buddi and Blanket?
Buddi says, "I...I
dunno!"
I know he had stuff something down
there, why don't the two of you go down there and see?
Buddi just nodded and said,
"See? I don't know what I'm doing!
Buddi just look on the bed he was
in, if he had something they'll be there."
Buddi just nodded and after walked
into sickbay found a stuffed bunny and a blanket which he handed to the cub in his
arms
The cub held the two tightly and
looked at Buddi with the bottle hanging out of his mouth
Buddi held the bottle back up, to
see if the cub was gonna drink anymore. He found a rocking chair and sat down
in it, rocking the cub
The cub kept it up for a while his
eyes starting to fall
Buddi was glad for a cease to the
yelling and the peaceful motion was working its magic on him as well. He
tightened his grip on Chace, just a bit
Chace curled into Buddi a bit more
his eyes closing all the way, still sucking a little at a time pausing in
between the pauses getting longer
Buddi kept watching the cub, even
though his arm was going numb
Seeing that the bottle was still
half full Chace looked as was finished
Buddi gently tried to pull the
bottle away, so it didn't fall
Chace jerked himself back and let
out an ear piercing cry
Buddi quickly slipped it back in
The cub quickly grabbed hold with
his hand and started drinking fast with it this time afraid that it would be
taken again, but opened his eyes and glared at Buddi with a left over tear
still him his eye
Buddi smiled, "sorry..."
The cub curled back into Buddi falling into sleep
Buddi waited this time until the
bottle was completely empty before pulling it away
Chace just let out a peaceful sigh
of contentment, with a bit of the milk still on is chin, and bottom lip,
Chace then took Buddi's hand and
started to suck the older cub's fingers, all of them
Buddi shrugged, but didn't pull away and after a bit, sleep claimed him
as well
