Sitting by Chace's bedside, I heard Ulisa walking in
Ulisa sighed, "any change?"
"Not yet, How's the rest of the kids?"
pretty good, considering. I nodded and rested my head next to him again. Ulisa
sighed and sat down by her side
"I'm so ready to give up on her right now
Don't. I've seen a glimpse of the future Selena, on
one of my time trips
"I'm so tired of putting up with her, Look at
what she's doing! I mean she's pretty much about killed my son, killed my
daughters animals, throws her siblings a crossed the room,"
I sighed at the end and looked to my kid again
Ulisa knelt, "and if you give up now won’t that
give her what she believes? that no one cares?
"she knows I do, I tell her and show her every
day, I try to at least she won't let me anymore, I use to hold her and such up
until she hit this stage and now she won't even let me near her.
I've seen her future...she'll be a mother of many
beautiful children, she'll reconcile with her siblings...but only if you hold
onto her
How in the world does one hold onto this! I've got
more then enough patience I mean you have to with all the children I have, But
with her I need help. I tried letting her have more responsibility with the
others, i tried letting her just be a kid, and she doesn't want it
Ulisa sighed, "Just hold onto this then: she
loves you, she loves her family; she just needs a reminder
I nodded as I looked to see Timmy coming back in with
that spear again. "Timba Ian I told you last night I don't want that
around Chace, I'm afraid it might slip out of your hands and hurt him."
He looked to Ulisa
Ulisa said, "If you want, you can hold it at the
door but not in here
"I can handle that." I told them
Ulisa looked at Timmy, "or if you want to sit
with Chace too, I can have one of the adults guard the door
"Mamma, Aunt Ulisa, ah, we need you Kenni's
crawled into a really small place and won't come out and says she's going to
die
"No I want to do it my self
Ulisa nodded and then head out, "I'll go."
"Thanks," I told her worried
Ulisa nodded "I'll let you know what's up."
she said as she left
"Okay"
Ulisa walked into the house, "where is she?"
She's in the playhouse tunnel, Way at the other end,
Skyla said
she's in the real small cabinet in there
Ulisa nodded, "Stay here. I'll handle it."
She nodded as Ulisa headed that way
Ulisa found the cabinet easily, "Kenya?'
The cub was crying sitting in her shirt and
underpants, with her hands between her legs
sweet pea, it's Aunt Ulisa. what's the matter?

she showed her hand to her slowly it was soaked with

Kenni nodded and stood up to Joy's and Ulisa's shock
the under clothing was soaked with the stuff
Ulisa gently scooped the girl up, "let's get that
fixed
she nodded
Ulisa led them to her house where they saw Darcy working
fiercely outside, Faith overseeing her. Ulisa led them to the medic bay
"Where's her clothes, Auntie? Joy asked
Ulisa said simply, "she gets them back when she
earns the, back
She has to earn them?"

"When will she do that?" Kenni asked
When she starts to do things I ask her without
complaint. she earned her blanket back so far
"Nothing to keep her warm at night?"
No...it is how this Barbic lesson works. you learn
humility when you have nothing and have to earn things back
Joy nodded and followed the two inside
Ulisa set Kenya down on the table and gently took her
clothes off, saying, "I'm just gonna find where it's bleeding
its where it bleeds a lot" She told her
Ulisa looked her over and found the source quickly,
not thinking, she cursed, "Oh tyigen
"Aunt Ulisa, you say bad word." Kenya said

I know, I'm sorry. Okay, sweet pea, Aunt Ulisa is
gonna fix this. I'm gonna have you drink this," she produced a drink.
"and it'll make you sleepy. when you wake up, it'll be fixed, okay?"

ulisa handed her the drink which tastes like chocolate
shakes
before a few minutes were even up Kenya is out like a
light
Ulisa told Joy, "this might be a little scary.
can you sit at her head and hold her hand for me?"
Joy nodded. "Why is she doing
that though please tell me the truth?"
Someone....was touching and abusing where they
shouldn't and she's a little torn
Joy just looked wide eyed and scared for a moment,
then looked down shook her head and held onto her sister's hand
Ulisa worked for a good two hours before she finished
and smiled, "your sister is gonna be sore when she wakes up but i think
it's repaired
Joy nodded. And looked down at herself again then back
up
Joy, sweetie, what is it?
"The same he that Elliot and Skyla are afraid of
did the same to me, as happened to Kenya although not as bad, I never got torn
like that."
I'm sorry sweetie. if you ever start bleeding like
this, come to me okay?
"i will, but I don't ever remember that
happening, And it happened to both Sky and Elliot too even though Elliot's a
boy it still happened.

tightly, holding her head against her shoulder

"You know what, we have three horses going to
have babies and Mamma said that those babies are ours. Well all get one if we
don't get in trouble a lot. Sky has hers already though so she doesn't get
another one, Plus we all get a kitten and puppy and,.... I could keep adding on
but it would take awhile
Ulisa smiled, "looking forward to it?"
"Yep, I like riding so does Kenni, she gets one
of the next ones too
great, I'm sure that'll make her happy
Joy nodded, "We see a lot of babies born there,
last night a new calf was born, as well as one of those Rama's that Miss Ursa
brought to us for the babies to use
Ulisa chuckled, at hearing that name

"then she looked around and started crying

Kenya nodded. "I'll go back and help Tanni some

"Mamma the child cried as they walked into the
room. I stood up and ran to them "Oh my what happened?"
Ulisa sighed, "She was bleeding..._there_ minor
tears. I stitched them up. the stitches should dissolve in about a week
I nodded and thanked her again, and as Ulisa was about
to turn to leave to get a check on Darcy again, Kenya shouted in her best
voice, MISSY URSY!"
Ulisa fell onto a chair, laughing her head off
Ursa just looked at her shooting her the death glare
"Missy Ursy, Missy Ursy," Kenya sang out
loving the reaction
Ulisa just shook her head, laughing
"Mamma is Chace going to wake up?"
I swallowed and looked at the two Barbic for help

Ulisa sighed, "We're doing everything we can to

Kenya leaned over and said "Hello wakey, wakey Chace, naptime over." I looked at
Ursa and asked her to take Kenni to her brother for me, I had tears again, and
I didn't want Kenya to see them

her arms again but wasn't permitted to do so not yet

girl and for the first time, she sends a purification spell through her

when the spell faded, the anger and meanness generated
by the drugs were gone
