"Fycan, there's something out in the trees!"
Charity cried as she ran indoors, Ulisa immediately extended her sword, told
the others to stay inside and headed outside.
"See up there!, way up
there"
Ulisa looked up and gasped, "Kenya?!"
"Hi Anut Ulisa"
She waved with one hand keeping the other hidden
“Get down here!”
"NO you take me back, I mad at Timmy I not go
back"
what happened? Just come closer so we
can talk. you don't have to come down...just a little
lower
"I can't get down anyways"

“No I too hi, and I scared"
Ulisa sighed, "C'mon, just stay still...I'll get
you down Once the child was one the ground she hugged
tight to Ulisa with one hand, keeping the other hidden.
Ulisa
said softly, "what's wrong with your hand?"
"Nothing, it go away
itself." As she said this the blood started seeping through her fingers
Ulisa knelt, "sweet pea, you're bleeding. Let me
get that cleaned up...it must hurt"
"No it don't hurt, Don't
want it cleaned up"
Ulisa just scooped the cub up, "it needs it...you
don't want it to get infected and have tog et a shot,
do you?"
"what's a shot?'
You don't want someone to have to put medicine that
stings in your hand, do you?
"No but what is a shot? I don't know what that
is." Kenni told her
you've seen Mama's sewing needles, right?
Kenya nodded,
A shot is a large needle, like that. at the end, it is filled with medicine. When you get a shot,
they stick the needle into your body and push the medicine through it, into
your body
"I never had one of those before."
Ulisa nodded, "I know." setting the cub down
on the table, she drew out some medication and started to wipe the blood off
Kenya looked around and started to whimper a bit.
"I no like this!"
Ulisa smiled, "shh,
hold still and it'll be over soon
Kenya pulled her hand away shouting no touch!"
Ulisa merely grabbed her hand, and continued to clean
it, syaing, "if you're good, I might give you a
lollipop'
"Candy?"
Ulisa nodded, "if you behave
"I try, Auntie are you going to call Mamma?"
Kenya asked worried
at that time the communicator with
Selena asking if they new of Kenni's where abouts
Ulisa stitched the girl's wound up and wrapped it.
"what are you doing here, anyway?'
"Ulisa, this is Selena
I was running from Big Brother
Ulisa answered the call,
"Yes?" she kept a firm grip on Kenya
"Have you by any chance found a little runaway
cub?
Yes in fact...what happebed
"She was caught by her brother playing with his
weapons. When he yelled at her she ran, and neither had a chance to catch her
Ulisa nodded, "she's here. I just fixed up her
hand"
"What happened to her hand?"
I'm not sure...looks like a cut from a weapon to me
"Say what?"
Looks like she cut herself on a weapon...not too bad,
5 stitches...it'll heal
"good, I'm coming to get
her, but while I'm on my way could you get the other things up to date for me?
she needs it anyways
Ulisa nodded, "of course." Cutting the line,
she turned to kenya,
"Kenya, you don't like being sick, do you/'
"No, Kenni nodded slowly wondering what was up
Your Mama wants me to give you something that'll keep
you from getting a certain type of sickness
"like what?"
like a sickness that feels worse than barbic fever
"worse than that?"
Ulisa noddedm "Much
worse
Kenya shook her head no "I don't want sick"
Okay, if you let me give you these three things you
won't get sick. just lie on your belly for me
"Why?"
i need to put three things on you. I
promise I'll be quick and then you'll get your sucker
"Ka," Kenni said laid down for Ulisa as
asked

Ulisa gently bared the girl's backside and said
gently, "Now Kenya, you're gonna wanna move but i need you to hold still."
Kenya although scared a bit nodded
Ulisa took a breath and decided to insert the worst
one first, she injected it quickly
Kenya started to scream and kick wanting to get away
Ulisa said sgently, "I
know it hurts little one." Quickly injecting the other two, she set her up
and said, "all done"
the tears just ran down Kenya's face
from it, "I no like! No more! I no run no more!"
Ulisa smiled, "It's all over sweetie." she
handed the girl a sucker as promised. She probably didn'y
deserve it afetr running off but she had had her
first shots
" in trouble now?" Kenya asked
weakly, "When Shanda runs she get in
trouble"
Ulisa nodded, "your mother isn;t happy and neither am I but I'm gonna spank you. I
know that hurts...you were brave though. But tell me; why did you run from your
brother? I thought you were close
"Cause he mean, he yell
at me I was jsut looking at his sharp things"

ulisa merely raised an eyebrow at her,

ears lowered

"Sorry it took so long, Tanni's
sick." I said turning to Kenya. "Kenya Elisa!
you alright?" I asked her picking her up.
"I'm sorry for the trouble she caused

Ulisa smiled, "not a problem
quickly I gave Kenya a light slap on her
thigh telling her to never scare me like that again. "So we got everything
up todate I take it."
Ulisa nodded, "yes...quite a brave little girl
I smiled and nodded, "One down, how many more to
go?"

"Thats
for sure, I didn't think about it, but you think I should go back and get
anyone eles?"
Ulisa nodded, "Might as well get it over with
yeah, I thought two at a day so I don't
have to come back for something to knock me out. How would you want to do this?
Youngest to oldest?

Alright, I'll just get Sukura and get her, and take
this one to her room. I'll be back."
