“Chace
you be nice,” Buddi said as he watched the child start to pull on the tail of
one of the Rama’s. Buddi pick the child up telling
him that he’s going to get either stepped on, or kicked. Taking him back inside
Buddi put him on the floor of Grubbi’s kitchen where he started pulling
everything out of the cabinets and begun banging on the pots and pans with the
lid of one. Plugging his ears Buddi headed over, to get the kid telling him
Grubbi wouldn’t be to happy if he found out that his kitchen had been
destroyed. Chace just grinned at the Barbic cub and
continued his banging. Hearing the racket, Grubbi Ursa and Gritti headed into
the kitchen to see what was going on. Buddi stood there hands over his ears
hollering,
“CHACE
STOP!”
‘Leave him alone
Buddi, he’s just playing.” Grubbi told the cub, “All cubs do this at some
point.” Buddi turned to Ursa and Gritti,
“not
me” The two adults nodded their heads
saying yes you did, drove us nuts with it too.”
Buddi was starting to turn red with that comment, as he spoke,
“I’m sorry.” Ursa
smiled and picked him up for a minute before hugging him tight, Buddi pulled
back for a moment stunned, the returned the hug, Ursa whispered something to him,
Buddi placed a hand on her forehead,
“You don’t have a
fever,”
“What’s that all
about?”
“You just told me your proud of me and you just hugged me.”
“And that’s surprising.”
“Yeah it is you
don’t do it a lot” Deciding not to push the issue, Buddi hugged her once more
and let himself lean into her a little bit. Ursa let this go for a few minutes
more then put him down telling him to go play outside. As Buddi started to head
out of the room, Chace stopped his noise, and ran to
Buddi,
“Di
no go!” He said taking hold of Buddi’s shirt, “no go.”
Ursa laughing picked the toddler up who only screamed louder as she pride Buddi from Chace’s
fingers.
“Mine! Di NO GO!”
“Its
alright Ursa I’ll stay in with him.”
“You go outside and
do what you do best, you’ve earned it,” Ursa paused and gave him a grin.
“While Chace is here the rest of the week, you don’t have to
train.” Buddi grinned, and said,
“Can he stay
longer?”
“Afraid
not, Buddi.”
“Well worth a shot
wasn’t it?” He said leaving a screaming Chace behind
him.
