“Mamma, theirs
something wrong with the triplets,” turned to see Tanni behind me. I followed
to where they were.
“Oh my!” They looked
like what Kenya did yesterday. Only today Kenya looked worse.
“Alright Tanni can
you help me get them to their beds?” The
girl nodded, I asked where Darcy was,
“In her room again
Mamma she’s in one of her moods again.” I sighed and headed down their flung
the door open and said for her to get out here and help me like I told her
several times yesterday.
“I don’t want to.”
She groaned from her bed, I stormed over and slapped her backside 13 times,
then pulled her out of bed,
“Now get yourself
dressed and out there!” Darlita sighed, and refused,
“Alright then, you
just stay there and see what happens.” I stormed off and took hold of my communicator
that was in my room.
“Ulisa, this is
Selena,” I told her sounding a bit worn.
Ulisa blinked,
stunned, "what happened to YOU?!"
“Ulisa, I need your
help I’ve got four very sick cubs, and I mean sick their burning up, Kenni’s is
higher than what it was last night, her face is like apple red from being so
sick, the other are my triplets, and my teenager won’t do anything but give me
trouble. Could you give me a hand?”
Ulisa nodded
immediately, "Let me grab some herbs and things, just in case and I'll be
right over
That would be great,
see you in a few
Ulisa nodded again,
closed the line and after gathering the promised materials, she crossed the
timeline
When I let her in
she could hear at least two of the cubs crying a bit, I had one in my arms as
it was. "The only way she stays still." I told her.
Ulisa nodded and
looked the cub in her arms over
“They're all in
Kenya's room now so I didn't have to run back and forth
Ulisa nodded again,
"take me to them"
I nodded and headed
in, seeing me Kenya's little voice cried out again, "I hot mamma!"
"Baby, Ulisa's
going to help us." I told the child to calm her.
Ulisa knelt down the
child's bed and laid her hand on her forehead. Her brow knitted and she said
softly, "Baby, are you dizzy, sick to your stomach or really tired?
Ground goes round
Okay and you don't
want to drink or eat anything?” The
child shook her head, okay..." Ulisa handed the child a ripe strawberry,
"see if you can hold that down
I watched for a
minute, then spoke, "I'm going to go try once more to get Darcy get
herself out of her bed, and out here helping to keep an eye on the other siblings”
Ulisa nodded, watching Kenya
"What do they
have?" asked sounding a bit agitated and tired. Ulisa looked up,
"Barbic fever”:
Barbic fever what’s
that?"
It's a sickness
unique to only Barbics so you don't need to worry about your glens and royals...there
are three strands. I think Kenya has the dizziness strand.
Alright now what
about the triplets? What about them?"
Ulisa said simply,
"let me take a look
Okay," I replied then stuck my head out
the door and called out is Darcy in there with them yet," I started to
grumble when the replay was no
Ulisa turned to
Selena and then sat down by the triplets, "<Hey little ones.>"
"Why you do
that, I'm going to go flame someone's hide again for the third time this morning
and the millionth time since last night
Ulisa looked up,
"what's going on?"
She's in one of her
moods, and she's been like that for the last couple days, every time I tell her
do something for me she refuses, I had to lock her library completely up and
told her that I'll unlock it when I think she's earned it back, and every since
about 8 this morning I've been trying to get her up to help me put again and
there hasn't been any luck
Ulisa blinked,
"hmm...try once more while I figure out the rest of these and if you have
no luck, _I'll_ talk to her
Alright, I said
before headed out the door, and down the halls. This time I slammed the door
open and snacked the girl up out of bed, and back down the hall after another
spanking, and told her to stay in here and keep an eye or you will regret
it I told her then headed back to Ulisa
and the girls
Ulisa turned to
Selena, "these three have the weakness strand
I nodded and I take it that means we really
have our ... "Mamma!" someone called through the door, "Darcy
headed back to her room again!" I sighed, "That girl is impossible
Ulisa stood up, "let _me_ handle this. For
Kenya, give her fruit, she seems to eat that. Keep her eyes shut and maybe put
a washcloth over her eyes. When I get back, I'll throw some herbs together for
the fever
I nodded and did
just that.
Ulisa slammed
Darcy's door open and hissed, "Darlita Rose Walker Gummi!"
"I don't care
what you say I'm not watching those little brats"
Ulisa stormed over,
jerked her up and slapped her backside with just her hand but Ulisa was about
as strong as Ursa
What was THAT for? Darlita asked rubbing her
backside.
You know very well.
You _will_ respect those older than you and your mother asked you to help. All
she is asking is you to sit with the others. She has six cubs to deal with! If
you come back into this room," Ulisa said, dragging Darlita out by her
ear, "I'll take my sword to your backside, is that understood?"
You can't do that!
And it's not my fault that those Brats are sick so I shouldn't have to watch that
other”
Watch me, young
bearess. You're right, it isn't your fault that they're sick but neither is it
your mother's so I think you can sit with these cubs for a bit." Just to
scare her, Ulisa extended her sword, making it glow golden, "Or you'll be
getting this on your backside, hear me?"
Darcy rolled her
eyes and glared at Ulisa stubbornly
Ulisa grabbed Darcy
by her upper arm and slapped her once with the sword. It was barely a tap but
by Gum did it get a reaction
Hey! You're not supposed
to do that! You have no right! She said
whimpering a bit
On the contrary,
your mother gave me full permission. And Darlita Rose if you backtalk me again
or disobey me or your mother again...I'll actually smack you...that was a tap.
Darlita sighed and
stormed out to the others and sat in a very far corner, and stared out the
window
Ulisa stormed off,
slamming the door and then hurried back to the sick children
I'm sorry about this
Ulisa; I can't get through to her. But I did get Kenya to finish the pack, and
she's actually a sleep right now
Ulisa nodded and dug
through her sack, "I told Darcy if I had to be called back down, I'd smack
her with my sword..." catching her shocked look, Ulisa added, "yeah,
that shriek she did...I tapped her" That was a tap?"
Ulisa nodded that must have been one heck of a
tap I could hear her in here. Ulisa shrugged, "that's the Barbic
strength." She pulled out the herbs and as if to demonstrate, she snapped
them apart with two of her fingers and then began to grind them into a bowl
with a mortar
I watched in shock as Kenya started to wake
again she started to cry a bit,
'Kenni, where going
to make you cool just hold on Ulisa smiled at the girl, and poured some water
in with the herb mixture and started to wipe it onto the girl's skin...the
herbs took immediate effect more!" Kenya plead, "Mamma!" A cry
came from me behind me, "Chyanne what are you doing?"
"Up Mamma"
I picked her up and held her close" She as just as warm.
As Kenni was Ulisa
gently wiped the girl down with the herbs and then smiled, "sleep little
one"
"More"
Ulisa wiped one more
handful on her face, "you should cool down now, in a few minutes
Kenya gave her this
pitiful look, and turned to me, "Mamma, hold me?" I nodded and looked
at Ulisa for permission to do that
Ulisa nodded,
"Yeah, it'll probably help." she started to dab the triplets with
this same mixture I laid Chyanne back
down, and picked Kenya up and started on rubbing her belly knowing that was her
sweet spot
Once the four cubs were asleep I asked Ulisa
if she wanted to go into the kitchen for some air or anything
Ulisa smiled as she
finished with the triplets and then said, in answer, "no...I'm fine. I've
had all 3 strands so I'm not worried about catching it
"Mamma! Darcy went outside said she was
leaving! She wouldn't doesn't want to be here!
Ulisa looked to
Selena'
"I'll just wait
until she comes back, this place is miles from anything and its pretty cold so
she'll have to come back this is the only shelter around at the moment
Ulisa nodded
If she doesn't come back with in an hour I'll
go looking for her
The two went down to the kitchen and Ulisa, on
the way, asked, "Your cubs do have their other vaccinations, right?"
Vaccinations? I
never knew they needed them
Oh, yes. The ones
you officially adopted are up to date but your others probably need them. I
thought you knew
I'm sorry I didn't,
oh man I can't believe I messed up with something so important with these
little ones, forgive me for it
Ulisa chuckled,
"Don't worry about it. It was an honest mistake. Just get them in for them
as soon as possible
I nodded; you want
to know something weird?
Even with two of my
cubs missing it almost seems a little bit empty in here
Ulisa chuckled in answer, "how are the
babies?"

Pretty active, there's
one now," I pointed, that's one's Bliss she was one of the first I got
from you Ulisa chuckled and knelt down, "hey little one
The child toddled
over in hopes of getting picked up
"Mamma, Surkua's up I nodded, be right
back
Ulisa grinned,
scooped the cub up, tossed her up and blew on her belly the child giggled and
squirmed at this asking for more
Ulisa did not delay
in doing it again
I'm back I said
heading to the fridge to get ha bottle for the infant
Ulisa smirked as she
held bliss
I handed a juice
bottle to Bliss as I set down with a warmed milk one for the smaller one; she
took it but then asked Ulisa for more
Ulisa smiled,
"How are your twins?"
Actually they're
starting to stand now,
Ulisa smiled,
"not too surprising
Rei will get herself
standing in the middle of the room and she's stuck that way she can't get
herself back down again Scarlet uses anything she can
Ulisa laughed,
"Where are they now?"
Probably in the
infant playroom
Ulisa nodded,
"I want to see them"
That's fine with me,
as soon as we were in the room, I had to laugh, the twins were using each other
to stand, when one would stand the other would try to use her sister, and that
one would fall
Ulisa leaned against
the wall, laughing
The twins seen this
and started to grin back and do it again. For a few more minutes before Scarlet
fell onto Rei again. Rei looked at her twin with that your heavy get off me
look,
Ulisa chuckled,
"Cubs never surprise you
And if to prove her
point a loud, "GANG WAY!" Come
through the halls with Skyla and Shanda chasing each other
I know what you mean
Ulisa nodded,
"Just keep them away from the sick ones...especially the triplets...they'll
eventually get so weak, you'll hafta take them to the bathroom
I nodded as a crash echoed,
"I better go see what those two are doing"
Ulisa nodded and
chuckled as she followed
The two were piled
on each other, "Shanda! I won THAT one!" Skyla said as she lay there,
Ulisa laughed
"What are the
two of you doing?" I asked, "Playing Mamma, Skyla lifted a pillow
into the air, "this my trophy" she said
"Alright just be
careful."
Ulisa chuckled at
the sight, leaning against the doorway

I whispered a bit
Ulisa nodded,

Just then sky walked up to me in full puppy
dog mode, "Mamma I go outside, I want to play with my horsy." "I don't see why not, just stay in the
barn, and bundle up, and have one of the older ones with you." She nodded
and kissed me before running
Ulisa chuckled,
"cute aren't they?"
"Thanks" I
then asked if Ulisa wanted to go help me find Darcy,"
Ulisa nodded,
"Of course
I mean I waited long
enough, it's too cold to be out this long and how ever far she went
Ulisa nodded again
and headed out, silent'
"I see her,
she's over there on the swing of the play equipment” Ulisa looked at Selena to
see what she was going to do
Darlita Rose what
are you doing out here?" Ulisa stayed back, silent but a stern look on her
face
I asked stern walking
over to her, were you not told to watch the younger ones while we tended to the
sick ones? "I didn't want to." "Well I didn't ask if you wanted
to, did I" "No," "I want you back in the house and in that
barn right now, I told her taking hold of her by her ear
Ulisa walked into
the clearing, letting herself come into the light
And anyway you know
better to run don't you? I asked while leading her over to where Ulisa stood,
and I said besides that are you permitted down here yet? Didn't I also ground
you yesterday for telling Joy and Tanni that you would throw them in the trash
if they told that you went your room?" Yes,"
Ulisa's eyes
narrowed, "she said WHAT?!
I nodded she said
that yesterday to those two, who both gave up their time of play to help
without being asked
Ulisa looked to
Selena, for permission, fingering the trinket in her hand
I nodded go ahead, I
don't mind you can bare her if you'd like as well
Ulisa pulled Darcy
over to her, "do you remember what I told you? And you have _no_ right or
reason to speak to your siblings that way...no matter _what_ kind of mood
you're in” she nodded but rolled her eyes
And I meant it,
young bearess." without another word, she ripped the girl's slacks down
and extended her sword. Using 1/4th of her strength, she smacked the sword
blade against the girl's backside 13 times “
Hey what are you
doing, this isn't fair! Cut it out!
She wailed Ulisa
ignored the girl and with the last smack, she caused the blade to glow just a
bit
The girl screamed a
bit, Ulisa put her sword away and hissed, "Make me do that again and it'll
be worse
I thanked Ulisa and
told Darcy that she was still going to the barn for the running and the disobeying,
and the fact she made up leave four sick children behind to find her
Ulisa turned to
Selena, "I need to get back to my own children. But I'm leaving you a few
herbs on the table along with instructions...if you need me again, give me a
call
I nodded and thanked her again as I towed my
daughter off and Ulisa headed her way
Ulisa did as she
promised and then stepped through the time portal
