“Come on Cyanne get dressed.”

“NOI don’t want to. I want to do this!” Sighing I put her body in between my legs and start stripping her, of her night clothes and changed. She kicked my shin after, I sighed and put her in the living room corner.

“You don’t kick me Young Bearess! Now you stay there until I tell you.”

“NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO! I not staying here I’m going out! And she takes off running out the door. I run after and can’t catch her.

 

After about an hour panic sets in so I tell Darcy to keep her eye out, and I’m going to go contact Ulisa

Ulisa answers her end I speak,

“Ulisa, Cyanne’s run off and I can’t find her, she’s been gone for over an hour now, I looked every where I could. Help me.” by now the tears are starting to threaten to fall.

 

Ulisa's own heart froze, as it did for any child. It was tenfold now with the threat of other slave camps. "What happened right before she ran off? I might have an idea.."

“Well all I did was put her in the corner for few minutes for fighting with me bout getting dressed and kicking me and she starts this screaming and hollering and takes off before I can catch her, just help me fine her.”

Ulisa nodded, "all right. I'll be right there." Before even a minute passed, she'd opened the portal and stepped through, meeting Selena in record time "Show me where you put her...I'm a tracker"

“I just put her in that corner over there, and it was only going to be a short time, just a couple minutes. did I do wrong? by that.”

No, you didn't" Ulisa said quickly. She got down on her hands and knees by the corner, knelt until her chin was less than an inch off the ground and after a moment, jumped to her feet and took in a sprint, "this way"

I ran with her as she headed in the direction of my daughter, my heart fearing the worst.

“Ulisa what if they’ve got her, what if she’s, she’s,….. I don’t know what I’d do”

Ulisa's eyes were locked on a task but she said, "Calm down, getting upset won't help."

Ulisa stop Ulisa ran for a good five miles before finally stopping and looking up at tree, "Cyanne! Get down here! <This instant, young bearess!>"

“No I mad at her!”

Ulisa narrowed her eyes, in a glare that met Ursa's. Before either Cyanne or Selena could blink, she jumped up the tree, snagged Cyanne around the waist and jumped back down.

Ulisa hisses, "Cyanne Anneliese Walker...there is no excuse for running off like that, what do you think would happen if a warrior left a formation because they were mad at their leader?!"

“They get dead?, they get in trouble”

"No...but they may lead to others' deaths. Because everyone must cooperate in order to make things work. barbic clans work together and they survive. If they run off, they're abandoning each other!"

“I not do that I not make other dead.”

Oh no?" Ulisa turns her face. "look at your mother. You killed her heart." The child can’t look up at me, and say

“She mean, she put me in that corner. I not kill her heart she there.

"Cyanne...you scared her silly. You know what she did?"

“No what?” Cyanne asked as I went to put a jacket over her shoulders, she pushed it away refusing it. I looked at Ulisa I mean it was cold and the snow was wanting to fall again.

"She called me up...in tears...crying like someone had ripped her heart out Cyanne!" She takes the jacket and forcefully pulled it onto the girl. Cyanne glares at her,

“I don’t want that I not cold!” she told her starting to take it off.” Cyanne then stopped, when the words sunk in.  “She did? Why? No one ever done that,”

Ulisa stands up, "She loves you Cyanne. You're her daughter. A mother who loses her child would give up her own life to have them back. I know..."

“Cyanne, scared me to death I didn’t know what to think” I told her with the concern.  Cyanne turned herself away from me and started to head off again, this time towards home.

“I not talk to you.” I looked for help I had no idea what to do at this point. I was use to Shanda’s running but she never did anything like this!

“what’d I do wrong? I asked Ulisa

Ulisa normally was very patient but she had reached her breaking point. She stormed after Cyanne, grabbed her by the shoulder and turned her around. "Cyanne, you do _not_ disrespect others. Do you understand me? A warrior respects their elders and their leader! Do you know what happened to _me_ when _I_ ran off?"

“What?” she asked looking nervous and backing up.

 

 Ulisa tears open her shirt, showing Cyanne a long scar straight between her breasts. "_That_ happened. I did the same thing you did. But even after all I did, my parents and grandmother still came after me. Because they loved me. And because they loved me, they did the same thing I'm going to do." she narrowed her eyes, "They gave a warrior's punishment." She took a clip out her hair, turned Cyanne over her knee and extended her clip forming a sword, slapping Cyanne four times, with force but really only a limited amount of her strength. Cyanne screamed at this never had she felt anything like it, it hurt  like anything she’d ever felt.

“No more! I be good I promise,”

Ulisa released her and looked her right in the eyes, "Cyanne, I want you to listen to your mother. We don't do that because we like doing it. We do it because we want you to be safe. _That's_ why it's important that you follow rules. Do you understand?" The little girl nodded and wiped the tears out of her eyes. Not saying anything.

Ulisa says, "I hardly ever do that Cyanne. I hate doing it. But your mother and I love you and if that's the only way to get through to you...then we will do it."

“No more! Hurts”

Then listen okay? I wasn't kidding  I said would train you...but a warrior must know how to listen. Cyanne nodded

“I be good.”

Ulisa hugged her and said, "Good girl. Now tell your mother you're sorry" Cyanne nodded and looked at me and said “I’m sorry.” Trying to hug her I tried to hug her, but she stepped back. “Alright no hugs that’s fine, but please sweetheart don’t scare me like that no more.” she nodded. I then turned to Ulisa, how you come back with us an I’ll get you some lunch before you go, to repay you for all the help.”

 “were glad to have you, say were'd you get that sword, I'd like to get one I've tried everything eles on her, my hand and the spoon and I'm up to a small switch now

 Ulisa smiled as Cyanne walked in front, close but out of earshot, "it's elvish made"

I nodded it seems like it works I then noticed that Cyanne's feet were bare,

“Cy, let me carry you so that your don't get sick

Ulisa gives Cyanne a glare, in case she tries to resist, Cyanne hesitates hating the thought but lets me but doesn’t really cling to me eather, just kind of glares and sits there.

Ulisa says softly, "Cyanne, it is not unbarbic to need help. It's unbarbic to refuse it."

I don't like being carried she said keeping that glare

Chyanne likes it, but not me, Melody likes it some times too

Ulisa smiled, "Cyanne. Do you know what happened when I got that scar?"

I passed out. I could not walk because my body wasn't strong enough. My grandmother picked me up and carried me because she cared too much to let me get sick or die

“You little?”

No...I got this scar when i was 23

Cyanne said I still don't like being carried”

You don't have to like it; you just need to realize that some times it will be needed

Cyanne just made a face

Ulisa ruffled her hair, "Trust me, you'll get it someday. I don't like it either Cyanne but sometimes in battle, you'll need help, need the aid."

When we got back I told Cyanne that I wanted her in her room for right now, that I’d go and get her when Lunch was ready. She made a face when I said that, “And oh you need to close your half of the doors that connect yours and Chyanne, and Melody’s rooms. Cyanne made a face she hated having those doors shut.

Ulisa says, "remember what I said?"

 

Then asked Ulisa if she’s had a tour of the house since I had it redone.Ulisa shook her head, "nope, I don't believe so" I can take you through if you'd like while we wait.

alright, but let me tell you one shouldn't get board going through this house I told her heading down to the fist of many halls, I made and area for each age group this one's the infants as if on cue, Sukura's crys' filled the hall

“excuse me a second” Ulisa nodded, "go ahead

I came back out with the red cub, and asked you remember this one? This is the same one that fit in the palm of your hand five months ago.

Ulisa chuckled, "they grow so fast"

Don't they, You wanna take her for a bit, she might let you. warning she hasn't made any effort in tryign to lift her heard to much yet

Ulisa nodded again, holding her arms out  handing her to her I told her that the next room over is the infant playroom, this way they can crawl or what ever without getting hurt  or my worry everythings baby proof to the hult in here Ulisa chuckled again, "don't i know how that is

opening the door I showed her what I meant the corners had these foam rubber things on them and the walls had them around it as well, not one thing that wasn't for an infant wasn't in here, and the floor was spotless, and the room's dustless

Ulisa smiled, "I shoulda thought of that but my two are toddling everywhere now...except Sonni. He just likes to sit still and laugh or watch his siblings.

“Mummmm” We looked to see Chace toddling to me,

“Chace how did you do that?” He had managed to get his diaper off somehow.” I laughed as I picked him up and layed him on the floor a second, and put it back on,

“Now you leave that on.”

“I know, He’s something eles. And yes that one’s Bliss, and you know those barbic twins Rei and Scarlet, and yeah their crawling.”

Ulisa smiled, "doesn't surprise me. Most barbic cubs can't wait to start moving.

 and up those stairs are the boys rooms, I mean Timmy and Elliot, although there not here at the moment

WispAnnaMarie: they won't be for a few months

Ulisa smiled, "Training?"

yeah one in Ursaila and hte other in Gumadoon

I figured. I hope Timmy doesn't give my grandmother and father too hard of a time. But at least he's doing better now, right?

Oh he's great now and I know something about Elliot you might want to add to the files

Ulisa looked up, "yes?"

he's hyperactive and we found out that he Joy and Skyla are actually great great great grandchildren of Cubbi, we found out through a bit of magic.”

Ulisa chuckled, "why doesn't that surprise me? i knew Elliot reminded me of someone

and the funny thing is he's squires while Cubbi's still a cub

ulisa smiled, "that's true...I think cubbi'll have a worse time

Cause Cubbi is pretty clingy to Plucki, kinda possessive in a way.I asked opening Timmy's little play room showing her what he had in it all kinds of stuff that could be used in trainings

Oh geez

Ulisa chuckled again, shaking her head, "aw, it'll be good for him. Besides, I think Plucki already knows that my uncle is possessive

But in regards to Cyanne...I think she just doesn't respect, you need to make her respect you and she'll straighten up

He's obssessed with training isn't he?

that not only was she a little young, but becaues she was also attacking her brother every chance she got

But I did want to ask you something" she closed the door. "Your mother tells me that you attack your siblings every chance you get. That;s one reason that she won't let you go train. Is there a reason you attack them?"

I do that sometimes

Ulisa offers her a hand for comfort and then says, "what men sweetie?'

Ulisa gently brushes her hair and switches to barbic <Little one, I promise you with my soul that I won't let those men come back and hurt you again. But you need to tell us what happened. Then we can help the pain go away.>"

Ulisa turned to Selena, "she said the same men who hurt Peace hurt her *soft voice*

say what?  I asked in shock she nodded

I try to gather the child in my arms, then remembers something, hold on I have to turn something off so the others can't hear Ulisa nodded, still keeping a hand on Cyanne's,saying soft words in Barbic. for some reason, the girl calms at the words, probably taking comfort in the mother tongue

 turning the intercom off I sat back down and again tried to take the child into my arms she let a yelp, I look Ulisa, the sword doesn't hurt that long does it?

No, it shouldn't...

taking in a gut feeling, you think somethings wrong there?

Yes, I think there is. I was gentle with the sword...hardly used my strenght at all

I know Sky yelped like that when she had a metel thing stuck in her neck from her father, you don't think theres something like that? DO you

they say it a puter chip, so they can find us all of us have one, me Cyanne, and CHyanne, and Peace as well they use it that camp, Mamma. I turned Melody was walking in and took a seat by her sister

Ulisa took a deep breath, trying ot keep from cursing, "Is that why you attack? You think Timmy'll do something similar? You're afraid of being caught?'

she nodds, and Melody speaks more but climbs into my lap as she starts, they'd also come in one at a time and do all kinds of things. with us, those humans did. Said we were for good for nothing. and that,..... the tears started on her. I held her close and kissed her head.

Mel jsut leaned back and held on. I spoke for them, I think it would be better to get them out for all of you my little ones something made me think a moment, and called Cyanne to me

It won't hurt, I promise. You won't feel a thing.” and pulled her pants back abit, “Ulisa, it's swollen there where that chip is

We need to get them out. You can call grubbi or I can do this basic surgery I looked at her worried about this, what would be best

If you give me five minutes, I can be ready and get them out in less than 30 minutes"

Ulisa nodded, "Go get peace and your last triplets and bring them to my house,

Ulisa sighs, "Nana's always had a sixth sense when it comes to her family"

Let's get the other two girls and tell the older ones what where doing and we'll go, Peace is sleeping in my room, and Chyanne, is around somewhere, Ulisa could you get Peace while, I find Chyanne

Ulisa nodded and retrieved the sleeping girl easily

I came back with Chyanne, and knelt down to get Melody who wanted me to carry her as wellUlisa returned as well, carrying Peace and offering a hand to Cyanne

cyanne took it Seeing the arm loads I asked if it would be best for me to hitch up a wagon

Ursa oftered to take Peace for Ulisa so that she could have the hand free

Ulisa smiled, handing the girl over, "Bigato." Mutterong some words, a portal appeared and led the group straight into a sterile and clean room, looked like it was used for medical issues

mamma? Mel asked worried,  "You'll be alright." Ursa laid the first down and said she'll go get Grubbi to help with this

Ulisa smiled and brought Melody, Chyanne, Cyanne and Peace, who was stirring some shake like drinks. Sweet and tasty, they were downed quickly and unknown to the girls, the drinks were were the sleeping agents were Mamam, we like those want,.... they never finished all four were out in no time Ulisa chuckled at Selena's look as Grubbi entered, "a trick I picked up from grubbi" I nodded I don;t mind i just want those blasted chips out of my babies  Ulisa turned to grubbi, "did Ursa explain?"

yes , let me get started, who do you want me to take Ulisa points, "Try Peace and Chyanne. I'll start with these two."

Grubbi  looked at Ulisa, how many kids does she have? She's got one with us now

Ulisa chuckled, "seventeen"

whoa! he said as he picked one of the two that he was going ot be working on up   ursa spoke, your crazy you know that?

Ulsia chuckled again, "eh, I've got fourteen." she starts work on Cyanne and Melody." I turned to her, Yes, I get that all the time

Ulisa smiled faintly and then turned back to her work and quickly pulled out a small chip, laying it on the table we all laugh me less I was thinking on waht mydaughter had told us a bit ago, I couldn't believe someone would hurt these little ones like that. you mind if I go  out and vent real quick, I'm felling like i want to explode or something I can't stop thinking about what those things did

Ulisa nodded, "go ahead. I have a gym, down the hall, last door if you wanna hit something 

No I'm stepping outside a little bit aways cause I want to use words that shouldn't be around children at the moment okay, then sure go ahead...you know the way down? I tell then that and ask if I can kiss the ones that are being worked on real quick Both grubbi and Ulisa nodded  I do that and do the same for the other two, before heading out

buddigummi: Ulisa patched up Cyanne and started on Melody finding a spot to sit for a moment and after a bit of screaming I fell to my knees and wept for some time until I heard ulisa coming behind me, I turned they wake yet? Not yet but they will be shortly, in a few minutes." she grabbed Selena in a hug and just squeezed her for a moment How can anything be so cruel to someone so young I wish I knew

I've had the tripletd for about five months and I just know notice those things, what?,.... i shook my head and stood I've goit little girls who are going to be up soon I need to get back in there

Ulisa smiled as they walked up the stairs and back into the room, just as the girls bagan to stir

 I looked to Ulisa and Grubbi asking if Icould pick Mel up

Ulisa smiled, and nodded as Grubbi said, "Just be careful of their legs

I nodded right," I picked the child up and let her lay of me abit,

Grubbi smiled, "Just watch the stitches for any redness or pain. Ulisa can take them out in two weeks

okay i can do that, now how do i get all thses guyys back home?

Ulisa smiled again, "Let me help you with that."

thats right I still owe you lunch anyways

and a finshed tour of the house

Ulisa chuckled, and just picked up two of the girls up...that barbic strength easily kicking in

You can just lay Peace back in my room she won't sleep in hers yet, to afraid, and the triplets will want to be together so let me move their beds into one room  all right, sounds good." she smiled at the two other Barbics, "thanks

and I'll show you where we left off and get something to eat

they did even the plaster, there idea, they just started rolling in it pretty much, and don't ask about that one, Elliot left his extra personal signing there, *he used his backside* I don't have an idea why he did that

then opened a door that seemed to be hidden by the wall follow me

Ulisa smiled and followed her friend through the door  in that one is a little play gym they can climb over every thing they want in here the walls, everything

and in that one over there they can act like its out doors I mean theres a sandbox, and swings and such and see several slides Looks like they have a regular funhouse here and now were belive it or not over top the living room and here we keep the trampolines theres like five of them and theres the other tunnel which also has a slide that takes them outside weather permitting of course, and the stairs take you down againyougot that thats why I put those intercomes around the entier house you know how hard it would be to call for someone in this place?

Ulisa whistled, "dang...you really went all out." She smiled, "but then, so did I except most of my kids like to play in the backyard or in the covered section when it's cold and they still have 2 playhouses one behind the house and one more closer to the barn

WispAnnaMarie: I nodded and would you believe theres still enough room for more children?Well, I'm certain your Barbics will love this...once Barbics hit walking, they explore EVERTHING." she smiled, "Trust me...you might wanna get a lock for the oven or something...and yes, I believe that"

 as we headed out, and don't get me started where the freezers are kept, theres like 3 of them as well as the one the kichen the others are in the celler

Well, with so many kids...it doesn't surprise me

now lets see what Darcy pulled together it was hers and Tanni's turn for lunch duty

bleive it or not I get lost in my own house

takes me forever sometimes to hunt down the child that I'm looking for, and Ihaven't even started on the stuff down by the lake yet

Well, I don't doubt that. I have all my kids wear little wrist communicators

but i won't go there too cold and I've worn myself out that would be  a good idea, where would you get those

Ulisa smiled, "Gummi invention."

I nodded as we sat, I asked where Dar was,  Ulisa just waited, curious

"She in her room again, Mamma in that mood." I nodded and said it would be best to leave her  there Ulisa chuckled, "teenagers...trust me, been there done that...be glad she isn't Barbic I trust it, we just let her go when she's like that she'll come out when she's hungey

Ulisa nodded, knowing all too well, having gone through six teenager years already and starting with her two oldest adopted children soon

yeah big brother go flying so we don't touch when she like that,

Ulisa blinked, shocked, "what?"

a little temper display awhile back, I hope _that_ doesn't happen again
