I woke seeing Sky
beside me, we had decided to share a room so that it wouldn’t be so bad on
everyone, I had to laugh at the events that happened when we got there, Sky had
ran to Gritty held on to him like there was no tomorrow. He picked her up and
let her know how he had missed her and how things were as active with her gone.
True Buddi was there, but no one could make it so you didn’t know what was
happening on moment to the next like this little kid.
“Mamma say I be good, or I get in trouble.”
“Well I think you
should be good then little girl.” Skyla nodded at Gritty as he took off with
her. I knew she would be out of the way if he kept that up. And we started to
tend to Elliot, and taking the baby inside. I laid Sukura
in a make shift crib, and started down the hall to see what Grubbi was doing
with my son. I watched as he laid the boy in cool wet sheets, after he had
stripped him down. The cub seemed to like that. I walked over to my son and
spoke,
“Elliot, your
Mamma’s still here, I’m not leaving this place unless your
coming with us,” No movement came from the boy, but the cry of Sukura, made me leave the room, and let Grubbi get back to
his work.
I looked down at the
child as she stirred, then looked to the other one, she two laid there asleep.
From the halls I could hear Ursa talking to another female, who I didn’t know,
getting dressed, I headed out,
“Who’s this?”
“This is,..”
“I’m Selena, Were
only here so that they can tend to my son.” As the Gummi and I talked, Ursa
told us that she had stuff to do. Hearing Sukura,
Grammi followed me into the bedroom, she eyed both children.
“That one on the bed, is Skyla. And this one in Sukura.” I told her handing the infant to her.
“I have to check on
my six year old,” I told her. She nodded.
“You’re up Elliot!”
The yellow cub nodded as I walked into the room. He reached out his arms,
running my fingers through his golden locks, I spoke,
“I’m sorry son, but
I can’t hold you yet. Not until Grubbi tells me other wise.” Elliot looked as
if he was going to cry hearing that answer.
“Elliot, I’m on your
bed, though and can let you lean against me.” He nodded. Grubbi came in and
looked him over telling me that Elliot’s fever was completely gone, but wanted
him to stay in his bed for a little bit longer so that he was sure that the
fever didn’t come back. I helped the cub back into his clothes just as Grammi
appeared in the door way,
“He looks a yellow version
of Cubbi.” I looked at my son, and thought for a moment. Then shook my head,
“that’s not possible.”
“Well why not?”
“Cause were from the
future, and,…”
“And that doesn’t
have to mean nothing!” She told me, and told me that as soon as Elliot Ivaxior was well again that she wanted all of us to head to
her home in the Glen. I nodded at her offer,
“But I couldn’t stay
long, I have several other children waiting for me at
home. Left them with there teenaged sister so I could take care of my son,
Skyla came with us cause she never or trys to stay to
far from her brother.”
“She two looks like
Cubbi.” Not believing it, I laid my sleeping cub back into the sheets. As the two of us walked through the place to check on the pink
little imp.
