“Darcy, why don’t
you join us for a game,”
“No,” she said
starting to head back to her study.
“Alright, but I wish
you would spend time with us for a little bit.” Darcy turned and looked at us,
with a glare that would have killed if it were possible.
“Why would I want to
spend time with a bunch of little babies, and the likes of you,” She yelled as
she pushed one of her siblings out of the way.
I stood up and looked at my daughter
“That’s enough,
Darcy,” I told her calmly. “All I did was,…”
“You were butting in
where you shouldn’t have been!” She yelled again as she stormed off to her
room. I looked at the younger children who were all
staring at me,
“Lets get back to
out game, I’ll talk to her in a little while.” They
nodded but not one wanted to play it anymore, and one by one they all got up
and started to go play in their own little areas. Before heading into Darcy’s
room I stopped in to see Elliot, he was a sleep already, I walked in and kissed
his forehead, he was warmer again, I knew that Grubbi
would be here in a little while then he would have more meds again to break the
fever again.
Before I had a
chance to get to my daughters room, Grubbi had come in. I told him of what
Elliot’s fever was doing, and he noticed that I looked a little warn. I let him
in on what was going on. He nodded
understanding then headed into Elliot’s room.
I excused myself
hearing one of the younger ones cry. Grubbi stopped me a minute,
“Have Darcy or
someone else do it, he may need you for this.” I nodded, normally I stayed with
him while Grubbi was in there anyways, but since Darcy started her weird behavior
I’d run out as fast as I could to see what was going on.
“Tanni
will do it,” I watched at Grubbi worked a bit more.
“I want to take him
with me for a few days, I want to keep a closer eye on
him.” I nodded
“Its
that bad?”
“I can’t tell you,
but it should have broken at least two days ago.” I nodded,
“Just let me get
some things together, and let Darcy know what's going on, as well as Tanni,” He nodded as I got Elliot a change of clothes, and
hunted down my daughters, letting them know what was going on. And snatched up Sukura since she was
still too young to be left behind with the other children. We carried
both kids to the time port, I heard someone coming up from behind,
“Where
you going with my brother!”
“He’s sick Sky, Grubbi’s going to take care of him.”
“I go!” She yelled
blocking our path. Adjusting the blanket that was over Sukura’s
face, I looked at Grubbi,
“Alright, Gritti
will have a blast with her again.” I nodded. As I told her to get through to
the time portal and if she caused any trouble while we where here I would see
to it that she got a tanning that she would never forget. Skyla nodded as she
headed through.
