“Bliss Sweetheart, you get out of that!” I scolded as I watched the toddler opening one of my cabinets. Then went back to working with the children that were working on their school work. Seeing that they were almost finished I told them they could go ahead and go play. Elliot was the first one up, he flew past me as fast as he could, he came back in fifteen minutes later, dressed in his bathing suite, telling me that he was going to go swimming.

“Son, its to cold and there’s snow on the ground,” He nodded as I headed back to tending to his younger siblings, about ten or fifteen minute later I heard someone shutting the door heading outside. Putting Rei down, I headed out to see who it was. My eyes about popped out of my head!, As I opened the door,

“ELLIOT IXAVIOR! YOU GET IN HERE NOW!” I called as I headed out to get him.

“Are you crazy!?” I asked scolding him at the same time, “Did you not hear what I told you a little while ago!” He nodded.

“Then why are you doing it?”

“I want to swim! They do in the story that Tanni was telling me.”

“Well that my son is just a story, you do NOT swim in the middle of the winter.” He nodded as his head went down, and his eyes went up.

“Don’t think that those eyes are going to save you this time. You could have gotten hurt, or could have gotten sick.” I scolded a little more taking him to his room.

His eyes went wide as I turned him over my knee; I wanted this one lesson to sink in. Quickly his hands went behind him, holding onto the legs of his swimming suite as he protested.

“Elliot Ixavior, move them.” He shook his head, knowing what was happening. He held on tight so that I couldn’t pry his hands off without hurting him, having enough of it, I gave each leg a good smack. That made him let go. As he yelped.

“The next time I tell you to move your hands you better.” I told him as I started the real punishment.

“Mamma, Miss Ursa’s here!” I wondered what she was doing here, already.

“What can I do for you?” I asked as I lead her to the kitchen where I was still feeding infants, she took a bowl and spoon and started herself.

“I better warn you, Chace likes to get everything wear what your trying to feed him.” She nodded not taking the warning. She seemed so natural at tending to him.

“I know that the infants can’t be the only reason that you came by” She shook her head,

“I see wanting to get away from the males for a bit?”

“Something like that.” Ursa answered,

“I can understand that, being the only girl in the entire place, has to be hard.” I told her as I was giving Scarlet her meal.

“It can be.” was her answer as she pulled Bliss into her lap. I could see she was loving the presence of the little ones.  She looked up and told me that someone was coming down the hall, sure enough Elliot poked his head around the corner.

“I sorry Mamma, I be good now.” I smiled as I headed over to him.

“You promise you won’t pull such a stunt again?” He nodded as I picked him up.

“Alright then you can stay out here.” He beamed as I set him on my lap, he sat there for a little while, we all did for a few. Before I told her that I could bring some tea to the living room if she would like to go in there, that we didn’t need to stay in here, as I set the last of the babies on the floor, and told Elliot to go play.

“You leave little ones alone like that?”

“In this place it’s safe. It’s made to hold even the strongest Barbic.”

“Would you like to see the place, Buddi found it be when he was here.”

“I heard.” I showed her the entire place.

“I know its one big playhouse, that’s what I had in mind when I built it, I wanted the children to have the biggest playhouse they could.” She nodded. As we went and sat down in the living room as we relaxed, I noticed seeing a little head poking out I sat up a little more to see if I could see who it was. I couldn’t until she walked over to me.

“It’s alright Cy,” I called out to her as she showed herself more.

“Ursa you remember I have a set of triplets now right?”

“How could I not, I helped fight the humans that put them through that nightmare.” I nodded in agreement, as I pulled the child into my lap holding her for a moment before she looked at me, and climbed down. I watched as she walked over to Ursa and climb into her lap and lay her head on her. Cyanne whispered something to the Barbic Leader in Barbic. I didn’t even ask as I watched the two.

Once she had taken off running Ursa and I started talking again.

Ursa looked down to see who was tugging on her.

“What do you want?” She asked my almost one year old son. In response he raised his arms asking her to hold him. She complied putting the child in her lap. I excused myself to go checking on the rest of my children. When I came back Ursa told me that she wanted to take Chace with her for a few days.

“How longs a few days?”

“The week.” I looked at Chace content in the Barbic’s arms. I knew he would be in good hands anyways.

“Alright, a week it is.” I told her then went to get him a bag together.
