Boy, that was interesting. I have never had so much chaos trying to accomplish anything! At least Darlita can do hers by herself most of the time. That helped a little. I was holding Scarlet letting her eat, while, Chase was at my feet, crying again.

"Chase, I’ll hold you as soon as I'm finished." I then turned back to my daughter talking to her in what little Barbic that I knew.

"Scarlet, Fycan bakoi aez." That little girl seemed as if she understood me.

"Gui si ronn"  I told her. She smiled and laughed at me as I talked to her. Talking to her in Barbic seemed to have an effect on her. I noticed it seemed to do that to both girls. So I continued to do it and as soon as they were asleep I picked up Darlita's book and started studying more.

"Mamma,"

"Darcy! What’s going on." She never calls me that.

"I was thinking about what you said about the Gummi Scouts and I would like to do it."

"That’s a good girl. I'll help you when ever I can. I'm going to get the other two involved with it as well."  That little girl beamed. "I think it would be good for you to have something that you can enjoy. Neither Shanda nor Skyla will do it for another couple of years though." Darlita nodded, smiling, then ran off to do who knows what. Reading most likely. The others were outside playing, all but the twins and Chase; he sat in my lap. Every time I try to put him down, he fusses.

I just kept rocking with him in my lap and studying the Barbic language. I wanted to know how to speak it better. Getting tired of holding Chase, I set him on the floor handing him a couple of toys. He threw them, turned and started crying at me.

"You stay down there for a bit and play." I noted that Bliss was also in the room.

"Go play with her." That boy shook his head. "You’re not coming back up until you play for at least ten minutes." I told him. Darlita looked at me.

"I know it seems cruel but he has to learn. I'm also not hurting him." I then headed out of the room, Chase following. I turned to him.

"Chase, no" I told him sharply, then walked out faster. I did this part for myself.   I can't stand hearing any of my children cry for any length of time. After about five or ten minutes of it, I broke down thinking that it was enough for me at least and went into the room, scooped my son up, and held him close to me. I talked to him trying to get Chase to understand that he didn't need to fret as he does when I leave a room. I was still trying to figure out what else to do. I had no idea; none of the others have done this. I guess this is going to take some thinking, and creativity. Noting that the baby had fallen asleep, I scooped him up and walked into my room to put him into his crib.
