I woke finding my new son in
my arms, sleeping. I remembered that he had wakened last night, and wouldn't
back to sleep. It was as if he was afraid, but of what I didn't know. I just
held him tight as he was going back to sleep, I had laid down in my bed Chase
in my arms.
Now I just stared at him
patting his back. I knew I had to get up; I had two little girls that would be wanting to see their Mamma. I thinking, I took both babies
with me.
I had to laugh as I put them
on the floor so that I could pick up one of my twins.
"You be nice, Chase"
I said to him gently. He was trying him best to glare at on of the staff
members as if they were going to put him in the other room or something.
"They know I'm yours
now." I told him. He seemed to understand but wasn't so sure.
"Now you play with Bliss
while I talk to Rei." I placed the newborn infant so she was just under my
chin. I had found out over the past few days that was
how she liked it. I rocked her watching the two others play. They seemed to be
having a good time. That’s when it hit me, How in the world was I going to get
all these children home? I guess that Bliss could still ride in her little
seat, then the twins would be put into the baby wrap that I gad brought with us
to make it easier to carry Bliss around, and have one of us hold them that was,
and I had the feeling that Chase would stay in my lap. I also knew that Shanda
and Skyla would sit in the back so they could play. I was snapped out of my
thoughts as Scarlet started to wake, Not wanting to put Rei down yet, I decided
to try my hand at picking her up one handed. A task that I might add is not
easy. But once I had both resting comfortably in my arms I realized how it
felt.
"They can go with you
today if you'd like." I turned to see Ulisa standing behind me. I nodded I
would like that. We were going to be returning home earlier than I had planned
thought, it was going to be the end of the week, and it was already Tuesday, We
were going to be leaving Friday, that would give me a little time to finish
selling the last of my goods. Glad that I had brought the horse, and wagon with
me, I asked for a little help getting the four out to it. Ulisa herself offered
to help.
"Chase, I'm right here.
Look Bliss is coming too." Chase did not like the fact someone had picked
him up. I had her take one of the twins, and I took him,
"Why is he like
that?" I asked her. She told me that some cubs get possessive of there
parents. As she got into the cart, after putting Bliss into
her seat. We wondered if it was possible for Chase to have a very very
small amount of Barbic in him.
"If you don't mind, I
have to pick my daughter Charity up," I agreed. After
picking her up. We headed to the camp where I offered them something to
eat. We watched the two five year olds, and four year old play. I turned to see
Darlita reading again.
"Darcy,
go play. You don't have to sit
here like that."
"I'm alright Mamma
Selena. I like what I'm doing."
"I know but it’s not
good to sit all the time," I told her. She nodded, and then headed out to
the other three. Ulisa and I started talking to each other. We talked for the
evening. I looked to see where the children had gotten off too. They were
playing some type of game I had guessed that Shanda had come up with it. She
normally did come up with the oddest things. I noticed Skyla had wondered off
not too far that we couldn't see her. I figured the punishment she got the
other day set her in her place. Now she was back to the sweet thing she was not
to long ago. I knew what she wanted. I made a decision, We would leave in the
morning, I didn't want the twins outside longer than they had to, I turned to
Ulisa inviting her to come to my home I wanted her and her larger family to
join us for the Night of the burning stars since I now had two Barbic cubs I
thought I could start doing that and I knew she would know what should be going
on.
Seeing that it was late I
told my girls to start getting ready for bed, and that we were leaving in the
morning. Shanda gave me her pleading eyes.
"No Shanda, Where
getting up early tomorrow. Now got get ready for bed."
I told her gently. Picking Chase up knowing that it would be best to take him
with me while I took Ulisa and Charity to their home.
